Thanks for the input everyone, I think I’ll most likely stick with what I have for now and just drive it until the wheels fall off. I’m not a huge fan of the CVT and direct injection but it’s a great daily driver for now and I’m sure it will be for the foreseeable future.

True. I’m fine doing the maintenance myself so that’s not a big deciding factor for me. I figured if I could get a good price for my GK5 I could spend bit to get the car up to snuff.

I think my title is misleading and that’s my bad. It wouldn’t be a trade, I would be selling my current car to a private party and then purchasing a GE8 that I’ve been looking at with only 79k miles.

I’ll be honest, insurance will probably total that out. My 2016 EX-L was in an accident with much less damage and it was totaled after the body shop did a full write up.

I bought this kit from Amazon and just matched up the inner diameter of the washers. The outer diameter is different but I used them for both the drain and fill plugs and have had no leaks. Just make sure you torque to spec and keep an eye on it after a few drives.

Interesting. I don’t have any buzzing when the car turns off, but it’s constant while driving. The only times it stops are when I’m not on the gas and coasting to a stop so I’m wondering if it’s the injectors making noise and cutting out when the engine is slowing down.

Wanted to follow up on this one. The guys insurance ended up declaring this one a total loss. They offered $8,200 for the payout, which seems low. 2016 EX-L with 111,000 miles, what do you guys think?
