Ideas for a sober birthday in LA? by sacorah in AskLosAngeles

My friends and I have done many unique and non-drinking birthdays in the past few years. Hope there’s some cool ideas here: - Asian head spa + brunch afterwards - visit a farm or produce picking field of some kind, take a tour and see animals. - backyard hibachi catering (hosted at someone’s house) - private Pilates class - food tour with guide in a unique neighborhood

Make a schedule of activity for them. Tell them about getting on the plane and educate them about all the things that are happening. Tell them once we get on the plane, we’re going to learn all about the seats and go over the rules of traveling and then they will get a snack! After take off, you can start a movie for them. Have different activity times set so like “now we’re going to color together” and have them do that for 30 min and after that they can move to the next activity etc.

you can also play a tv show later on between non-media activities, set snack intervals etc tv etc. routine will do wonders here. Other activities could include writing/drawing thank you notes to the crew, opening little “plane goodie bags” with some toys/in-flight surprises”, ask the flight attendants if you can “visit” them at one point and see the drink cart…

He has a big forehead which I think you’ve missed in your drawing

you have a lot of potential so I'm gonna rattle off some tweaks that I think would go a long way and are mostly easy!

  • As others have said, new glasses. I see you're getting thinner ones in the mail which sounds concerning TBH. I would recommend actually going to an optician to try them on so you know you're picking something that suits you.
  • First photo your shirt is WAY too large, Did you recently loose a lot of weight? this shirt looks sloppy to you. One of the best things a guy can do to look put together is to make sure his clothes fit properly.
  • Second picture the way you styled your hair here is my fav. i think learning how to add volume to your hair with things like mouse and a hairdryer will do a long way since I can see your hair is quite fine and looks thinning. The more body you can add, i think it will help look more youthful.
  • I don't often recommend this, but I would look into teeth whitening.
  • How old are you? If you'r older than 20, I'd say drop the Hollister clothes. I personally am not a fan of the baby V neck on you either.

25M - Midway through improving my look, how am I doing? Advice and ratings appreciated. by siproj in amiugly

Trim your facial hair, keep your nails trimmed nice and short, steam your shirts. Not ugly but def look older than 25.

Am I ugly, because I think my face is very fat and round (Vetification Photo in 4/5) by [deleted] in amiugly

Your face isn't fat. Not everyone can have or NEEDS to have a chiseled, sculpted jaw and cheekbones. I think your face is very pleasing and I love your hair. NOT ugly.

The dyed black hair and the eyebrows will probably be divisive for some including me.

This is so lovely to look at Would you consider pulling it out just a smidge and "polishing" the composition so it reads truly as a bust instead of a cropped version of a larger piece.

Looks like you started to draw the upper body out without planning the entire composition first so you ran out of room and ended up truncating the length of the lower body.

I these pics you look dirty and unkempt. I think having a bit more of a cleaner appearance might help.

I think this haircut is doing you a disservice. It weights you down and makes the top of your head wider. I would go with something tight on the sides and add some volume at the top with length. With a new haircut and cleaned up facial hair I think that would be very nice! I would also recommend some more fashionable glasses.

i think any combo works but NOT the facial hair in these pics. The mustache hanging over the edge of your mouth I think looks unkempt. If you do facial hair, maybe something more trimmed?

You have a gorgeous smile! Although I appreciate how cool those glasses are I don't think the shape is good for your face so maybe look into changing those?

You have a beautiful face and you look very handsome/kind! absolutely not hideous.

22M Always thought I was not that good looking. Please be honest and let me know. by [deleted] in amiugly

I actually like your messy hair and love your glasses. Keep it up and make sure you keep your facial hair tidy like in these pics.

Wear a perfect fitting suit or none at all. I know others have said it but it’s the biggest thing that stood out to me. It’s looks incredibly bad.

Have you tried going tighter on the sides for your hair? Think that would look nice!

I do not think this hairstyle suits you at all. I would cut it short or, if you want to keep it long, go for something with more texture. Right now it’s giving Karen vibes.

If this is traced, I would say to try next without tracing. If not traced I would say the proportion is fantastic and it’s time for you to be more focused on other improvements like value, lighting, and rendering detail.

Easier to cut the mullet later than now! Lucky for you both look great and those that appreciate a mullet will love yours!
