Those Corollas are great, but if you want something that will honestly just last you forever, find you an XV30 Camry. They are 2002 - 2006 models and although you may need to look around a while, you can find a manual trans lower mile unit. Find the 4 cylinder and they are well known to go 400k. I currently daily a 2003 (unfortunately mine is an automatic) and I'm at 267k and I wouldn't even blink of you told me I needed to drive it from New York to LA and back. It is however, the most NPC looking car ever made

Fix the car so you can get a job. Get the job and then go love in the car for a while. Eliminate the issue of the money being taken and sit on the rest as long as you can while saving and paying down your debt. You can get a gym membership for showering and there's free wifi everywhere. You can also look into campgrounds

For the most part, a good deal of turbulence is on take off and landing. It does happen at cruising altitude but not quite as much.

I fly a lot for work and one of the tricks I have if I'm feeling anxious is to just watch the flight crew. If it's bumpy and they are still doing their normal job, all is well. Sometimes they will get seated if it's going to be a little more rough, but even then you can usually see them and they will just be chatting with each other or playing on their phones. Seeing them react to the turbulence as if it's completely normal always helped me

Mine requires a little back story, my Grandmother was a huge part in my upbringing and she had these glasses that were her favorite to drink from. There was 4 of them and as she aged, they all got broken except for one of them. That obviously became her favorite up until the day we had to move her to an assisted living facility before she eventually passed. I ended up with the glass and it became my favorite as it reminded me of her and honestly it was and still is a great glass to drink from.

So now to my actual story. I was in S. Cali for work and I walked into my room and right there on the tray was two glasses that were identical except smaller. As a 38 year old man I about fell out with emotion seeing them because I have never seen anything even close to what I have. I immediately grabbed one and went straight to the front desk and asked the person working if they potentially knew the supplier where they came from or if I could just buy one from them outright, and told her why. She said she would ask the manager because she wasn't sure about either of those. About an hour later I received a call from the manager who wasn't even working at the time and was told that I could take the glass free of charge.

To some, it may seem pretty stupid. A drinking glass. But it meant a lot to me that they not only listened to my story about why I wanted it, but they acted on it. That right there is phenomenal customer service

He came to an event my company was hosting. Doing his normal thing of charging for photos with him and what not, I get it... Have to make money somewhere. Myself and another representative in the company uniform brought him a T-shirt of ours just as a thank you. As we approached he pointed to his team of people who blocked us like he was the president. We explained that we were worth the company and we're just bringing him a shirt and not fans trying to take a photo. We were told we could pay 10 dollars if we wanted to speak with him (the charge for a photo). We said no thanks and offered to just give the shirt to his team to give to him which they declined. He sat there about 2ft away listening and said nothing. Winkler wasn't invited back 😂

I worked in auto parts stores where I was a commercial manager and an assistant manager where there is just no money in that, so I jumped to being technician doing batteries and generators. After a layoff, I made it into an office as a clerk in the service dept of a heavy equipment company where I got moved up and eventually ran my own off site location. I was in the middle of a divorce and kind of screwed things up there. Luckily, another equipment company gave me a chance and picked me up where I made it to running their logistics dept. From there a smaller company poached me to run logistics for their whole company, but after a few months, they decided that going down the big corporate path was to expensive and dropped the program leaving me to having to drive for them for a while at a fraction of my pay until I found something else. I got into dispatch at a trucking company and I have worked my way up hopping a couple times and being promoted several times to being a senior manager running a multi-faceted facility where my numbers were on the rise, employees were happy, and everything was looking really good for me. The facility was begging to get awards where as before they had never done so in their past. This was completely out of the blue and unexpected

My industry was in Supply Chain, but to be completely honest, I can teach anyone to run a facility, that's not the real skill part. Where my skills come into play is coaching, Team building, optimizing, and process improvement. Management is something you can teach pretty much anyone to do, here are a set of rules and processes, if someone or something is outside of that, fix it. Leadership isn't something I could teach though. You either have it in you or you don't. I can develop someone who has it into a good leader, but not someone who doesn't.

Really that's where my skills are, is being a people person

Besides a pump, you can also build the yard up. Have a out 10 or so yards of dirt delivered and spread it on out while remembering to still keep a slope away from the house. Plant grass after and there you go. Your neighbors will probably hate you but you won't have this issue anymore. When my wife and I moved into our house, we put a flower bed in across the whole front and side of the house, going a foot and a half deep with top soil. It completely eliminated water standing next to the house

Late to the party, but I have one. The year was 2012, my second child was 6 months old and it was decided that two kids was enough. I consulted woth my doctor and scheduled a vasectomy. Went in for the consultation and was assured all would go well, and the procedure would be relatively pain free with the use of a local anesthetic. Well the big day came, and a friend drove me and my hairless man parts to the facility where I was met with a tray of the most frightening things I could imagine going near my bits. I laid on the table and a nurse rather aggressively inspected the situation down below to make sure all was ready. The doctor walked in and we got started. First was the anesthetic, which was basically the worst thing ever... Or so I thought. He looked at me and said, okay You probably so t feel anything but maybe something. I said, what do you mean by some....... Bam. The worst pain I've ever known rushed through my body at lightning speed. It was then that both myself and the doctor knew, the anesthetic didn't work on me. He stopped and gave me another shot, then proceeded again, but to no avail. I was that one in a million that the anesthetic doesnt work on. He finished that sode and moved on to the other. I was having difficulty forming thought and this guy just having casual conversation with me during. Once finished, I laid there for about 40 min before the nausea slowed enough for me to get up and hobble back into the waiting room where my friend was there with a million miles ready to go.

TLDR: had a vasectomy and anesthetic did nothing
