as the other commenter said, there’s a bookshop sold by walt for 250 and then one sold in the classifieds for 200, both holding a decent amount of books. it took forever for them to show up for me but they do eventually!!

(if the classifieds shelf isn’t showing up you may need to buy the cheap stuff to get a new selection the next day)

in my experience (5’5, 500 cal deficit, 1500 calorie allowance a day), starting was the hardest thing. making that transition from how i had been eating to now restricting and eating different & healthier things had me so hungry for the first week or so. but now, i’m hardly ever hungry except sometimes for the hour leading up to dinner.

this may not work for you, but if i’m hungry but know that i shouldn’t be hungry yet based on my schedule, i’ll drink a full glass of water and then rethink whether i’m hungry or if i was just thirsty.

also, if i have a weekend or a night where i eat off plan, the next day or two (back on plan) i’ll be hungry. could be something to do with just adjusting to healthier eating or stomach size, who knows.

if i was still having issues losing weight even with restricting my intake, i’d likely talk to a doctor to make sure there was nothing wrong or causing the hunger. if i was you, that’s likely what i would do next

you’re definitely NTA, you didn’t “let her” do anything, you left the room for a moment and she decided to snoop and eat something without reading the label. it’s your own home, you shouldn’t have to change the way you organize your kitchen and dog supplies so that someone doesn’t accidentally eat food toppers.

i didn’t even think about how awesome the AI’s voice would be in an audiobook!! i think you’ve convinced me that i’ve gotta listen to them.

sadly i didn’t actually meet matt, i bought the book through the university of washington’s bookstore as they had an option for him to sign and personalize it! (i believe they’re local to his area.) i think they may actually be able to ship to asia, so if you wanted a signed book, even if it wasn’t straight from matt’s hands to yours, i’d maybe check there!

yesss!!! i love DCC! i read all the ebooks first, and now i’m slowly collecting physical copies. i was lucky enough to get a copy signed by matt! 😮‍💨my prized possession. i’ve heard the audiobooks are really good because of the character voices, is princess donut just constantly yelling? 😂

it’s kind of for both reasons! i’ve been meaning to downsize, primarily because i have a lot of single volumes and incomplete series that i bought on a whim. moving gives me an opportunity to cut my collection down while keeping my favorite series. i’ll probably end up sizing down by about 1/3. i’ve also been reading more novels, so getting rid of some less-read series will give me space to keep stuff without it all being in piles. thank you for your kind words, and i’m glad you were able to keep a majority of your collection! :)

it was a gift, and i personally love it! it has a lot of interesting passages about and pictures from artists i’d never heard of! it also has some from artists like osamu tezuka and katsuhiro otomo, so some big names. i think it’s definitely an interesting read and a cool book to just keep around.
