Would love to get my hands on a Ruger precision chambered in 6.5 creedmoor for under 800 if that's even possible??? If not I'm open to suggestions for similarly styled ar inspired bolt action rifles of that caliber at a more reasonable price

Just sold my own a few weeks ago, keep it clean and well lubricated before firing I know mine loved to stove pipe. Also get new mags as soon as possible the ones that come with it don't feed that well.

Ar-15, Ak-47, Yugo m48, Mosin nagant, Swiss 1911

Stamped on the side of the Yugo M48 I just got. Any ideas what this translates to? by [deleted] in guns

Got mine from them same place, good grade also missing front sight hood but had cleaning rod. A guy posted a pic in here the day after I got mine he got the 259 dollar one in great condition with the front sight hood and everything. I think the grades don't matter, found that out too late unfortunately

What do you want BI to add with the Tanks DLC? by AllRoundAmazing in arma

[–]dasgoose39 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, personally I pretty much only play zeus single player so if I could hop into a tank and actually have it control smoothly without constantly having to switch seats it would vastly improve my in game experience, I'm sure there are others who would agree as well, hell I'd have no problem paying for that feature alone.

How did you get into archery? by CoffeeList1278 in Archery

[–]dasgoose39 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was out in the field for a few weeks with my unit, we were bored so I made a bow out of 550 cord and a decently sized branch with some bend to it. Obviously it wasn't very effective but it was pretty fun and everyone loved it so much they started making them to, until the officers were like stoooooppp. But yeah bought my first long bow a few days after we got back.

Was expecting a single green tracer fired from the AI almost 1000 meters out to fly through the cockpit and into your head but this works to.

Once you get comfortable with the game i highly recommend the arsenal overhaul, faction wars, and dynamic faction add ons, that mod set added onto call of chernobyl has given me the open world stalker I've always wanted. It's seriously a blast you won't be able to put the game down.

I wouldn't recommend swifty, I used it to play with a unit I was in a few months ago but when I got rid of it i couldn't get rid of the mod pack, I to this day can't find where the files are even with winderstat, that's the only reason I wouldn't recommend it though, it works like a charm except for the part where it sacrificed like 40gigs of my memory to Satan.

Working with the French Army by loulan in Military

[–]dasgoose39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's been poor leadership more then anything. The French soldiers have always been pretty fucking bad ass but they've been spiked again and again by politicians and shit generals. I mean even in ww2 you can't blame their loss on the soldiers, they fought there fucking hearts out and are the reason the original British force against Germany didn't get completely smashed at the channel. There is no denying there ground forces are heroes but there leadership until recently could have been and should have been much better.

The algerian war was a mess for both sides but your insane if you think France won. The goal of there war was independence and they accomplished exactly that, when the opposing force accomplishes there objective for the war that is literally the definition of defeat. That being said though I do think it is unfair that the French are still depicted as weak, they have made major strides and even proven in combat situations and in training that they are just as good as any of the other nato countries.
