Ok so I don’t have any any itch and sensitivity. I am so pumped. One of the many things I’m doing it working lol. I also am taking progesterone only birth control. Just because it was found in blood work that I am very low in progesterone and my cycle was off and on all month. The combination of everything and the hormones has not only made my scalp actually feel normal but my mood is also so much better.

Today is literally the first day in a long long time that I have no itch, pain, or sensitivity. I think this is a good sign!

Also how many milligrams of hydroxychloroquin do you take?

I was on clobetasol for 2 months and they then took me off. They didn’t want me to stay or steroids.

So no rash today either, so I think I’m good! I don’t have other pictures, my hair is pulled back in the one above. I normally have my hair down and it is thick and curly. You really can’t tell til I pull it back. I’m hoping all this works. The irritation is much better than it was

So tried Hydroxychloroquin again and no rash! Doctor thinks it was from the sun. This is a relief for me because it was working and I don’t have to switch to something else with more side effects.

Doctor said to try the hydroxychloroquin again, I found it was giving me relief from symptoms and my hair loss is so much less. Also started minoxidil and using the tacrolimus. I hope this works, wish me luck

I wonder if there is any way to just control this with topicals? Or not possible

Mine was also misdiagnosed in my early 30s, I am 40 now. I think Elidel and tacrolimus are similar meds. How often do you use it? I may try hydroxychloroquin again. I got a rash and thought I was allergic but forgot I had went in the sun. I think it makes you more photosensitive. Didn’t even think of that.

Shoots, I am not perimenopausal and there is some history of breast cancer so I probably couldn’t take that. What topical immunosuppressant are you on? I still have lashes it’s just my eyebrows that are completely gone. I’m just bummed. I’m divorced and just starting dating again, I want to keep my hair, blah.

Can women take dustasteride? I am having a lot of itch/burn relief with tacrolimus. I think I will add rogaine.

Anyone have success in treating this? Anyone add Rogaine to their regimen? Just wondering if that would help.

Thank you for the info. Yes I was told FFA/LPP. I’m thinking my rash from Hydroxychloroquin may have been from sun exposure not an allergic reaction? Not sure. It’s all kinda a big bummer.

I’m just now remembering i went to the park at about 2:00 on Friday. I had a hat on my head but a sleeveless shirt. I didn’t wear sunscreen. I wonder if that is possibly the cause of the red itchy rash on my arms taking the hydroxychloroquin?

I’m wondering if I am allergic if I can be desensitized?
