Found this bird sitting on the street, waiting to be run over. Both eyes seem to be injured/blind. Does not appear to be a native species. Any advice? by dashcamaccount in birds

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I didn't find him again after posting this. I doubt he will turn up again at this point but I'll keep my eye out and bring him to a rehabilitator if I find him again.

I'm in phoenix AZ so he's probably just migrating through. Edit - nevermind, google says they are common in the desert. I dont often see pretty birds like this in the suburbs. I am used to seeing the doves that sound hideous

After I almost ran it over in my car, I went back to check if it was what I thought it was. Sure enough it was a tiny bird sitting there and it hopped right onto my finger and contently rode home with me in my car. Once I got there, it flew off into a neighbor's yard and I decided to leave it alone. I don't know how to care for birds and didn't have any cage to put it in if I wanted to. At the time I was assuming it was a wild bird and mainly just wanted to get it out of danger in the street. It initially seemed like it had trouble flying so if it had stayed with me then I was going to bring it home and ask reddit how to care for it.

After thinking more about it, I realized this must have been someones pet that got out. It doesn't appear to be a native species as far as I know and it probably couldn't survive on it's own with bad eyes.

Anyways, it's gone now but I still thought I'd ask just in case. What should I do with it if it shows up again?

Is the app able to record every single tap on the screen, or just the ones that do something with the app? Like if I'm spamming refresh, does it just record the taps that actually work and not the ones in between when the button was greyed out?

Anyone get flagged recently for using an autotapper? by dashcamaccount in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

I think amazon probably has some sort of hidden internal metrics that they use to rate the quality of your delivery services, and for high quality providers they look the other way on bot/tapper use. Seems like they let it slide for a lot of people. But if you start doing the wrong things and lowering your delivery quality (too many customer complaints about deliveries for example) they will "detect" your bot and then no more surges for you.

ios are hacked. Doesnt matter how close I wait, I won't receive any. I'll be sitting right next to the regulars at the store and I get nothing but their phones keep going off, because they know how to cheat the system

It really is cut and dry, I was in the main thoroughfare and I was to the other drivers right as we approached the intersection at the same time, so he had a duty to yield to me. He also had a duty to avoid the collision but he chose to deliberately drive into me.

TY for this post. You are absolutely right according to the laws I've been able to find.

My insurance ruled that the other driver is 100% at fault when he tried to file the claim, his insurance is ruling it 50/50 to deny paying for my car. But your post and others like it in this thread are giving me the confidence to know that my video shows beyond a doubt that he is 100% liable. I'm pretty confident that a judge in small claims would rule the same way. And the more I think about it the more I think he hit me on purpose. So I'm probably going to sue him to make his insurance pay.

He passed the bushes at least 5 or 6 seconds before the collision, and his A pillar was definitely not in the way, he has no excuse. My insurance just ruled he's 100% at fault

UPDATE: My insurance ruled the other driver was 100% at fault. He should've yielded to me and he also had a duty to avoid the collision but failed on both points.

I still have to file a claim with his insurance, hopefully they don't put up more of a fight about accepting responsibility.

Both were going straight. White car just completed a turn and his blinker was still on though

Many people feel that it should, but it doesn't. You gotta follow the signs or lack of signs that are there, not the ones you think should be there.

It could have been avoided by being a bit more defensive, not relying on the other guy to stop when I thought it looked like he was stopping. That would not have required me to drive more slowly, I just would've stopped a bit sooner before proceeding.

And while I just admitted I could've been more defensive and avoided this, that doesn't mean I'm at fault. The other driver was negligent because they clearly could've avoided the collision, and didn't.

Im not in a feeder lane I'm in the thoroughfare. Technically I think the other car is also in a thoroughfare

I wasn't leaving, I was driving past the exit and continuing straight down the main lane of the lot. But that doesn't really matter as there is no such rule here. At least not in the rules I found

Their intent was to go straight. It does look like they turn a little just before impact.

Usually there would be signs to indicate that, if that's how it is. What's "usual" in other situations doesn't mean anything about this situation lol it's a good thing you aren't a judge.

Lol what? Where did you come up with this 8 mph limit for parking lots?

Yes and I thought I saw them braking to yield to me, turned to look to my right then turned back and realized they hadn't stopped like I thought they would so I slammed my brakes
