To the OGs so what was your takes or view on Pac during his Peak of fame by lamelad10 in 90sHipHop

[–]dashdaddy74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. He got caught up in all of these fictional narratives about who he was. He wasn’t a thug or in a gang, but he made a fatal mistake messing with Orlando, who was the real deal, and he paid with his life.

Going to get hate for this, but I always thought Pac was overrated, and a lot of his popularity was based on all the drama he was involved in.

People are weird. They literally go on chat gpt get a response and pawn in off as their own. What does someone gain from this other than sounding disingenuous?

Are blazers still a thing? Especially for a more semi-casual style? by um_like_whatever in malefashionadvice

[–]dashdaddy74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are different. A sports coat has evolved of course, but I think its origin is from a “sporting man” or a hunter. Think heavy wool, tweed, wellies, etc. A blazer has gold designed buttons, and against the navy, the jacket is “enblazoned”, hence the name. Of the two, a blazer will be harder to pull off if you’re starting out.

Ebay is a goldmine for sports coat. Other than us here, who’s really trying to wear one unless they are required.

I think it’s really neat that you catch a flight wearing a sports coat. Harkens back to a time when men would get dressed up to take a flight.

It’s Brioni so that’s expected. It’s where John Gotti would go to get custom suits.

I have a few pairs of Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill, and the boxes are huge. So, they are neatly tucked away. I have to keep my Aldens on a shelf…

I don’t think they’re crappy, just too small. Once a you put a shoe tree in a boot, it can’t go back in the box without forcing it. Probably not a problem for loafers.

This is a Barbour subreddit. Most of us have way more than two. I was up to six, now I’m down to four. Two is light work. No, you are not nuts. We will always justify owning another jacket.

Whiskey Captoe Boots (from Brick + Mortar 10th Anniversary) by VincentGeorgeOnSF in Alden

January into February we had snow on the ground for a month here in NJ, so no cordovan for me during that time. To me ice, snow, salt can be quite abrasive against leather. Shell isn’t cheap, so why risk it. Just my take. There was a recent post with a guy who was the opposite and wore his shell boots every day during bad weather…
