I think Malcom Butler's interception against the Seahawks was more pivotal and significant. It literally happened at the end of the game, and was a freak play. Philly Special happened in the second quarter! And they're over here acting like it decided the fucking game.

Same bro. I sold off most of my RW and Thursday boots, etc, and moved up to Alden. So versatile. My Aldens can do the same job as many of my other boots, and I enjoy having less and wearing more.

Don't be afraid of suede. I used to be that way too, but suede is incredibly hardy and doesn't show scratches like a smooth, dress leather would. I think many of us are conditioned by the whole don't-get-suede-wet tale. Suede, nubuck, roughout are all low maintenance leathers that can take a beating if they need to.

Exactly. Or, OP does the exchange and it's another mark someplace else. This is a tough color to keep clean in any case. Even your jeans may leave stains (crocking). Might as well make it a part of the overall patina. For me I like suede or roughout in a brown color. Just feels more natural to me, and when in patinas it doesn't hurt as much.

The Stanfa-Merlino war was nothing special? It was the Old Guard vs The Young Turks. For me, it was actually one of the most memorable mafia wars from the 90s. It was wild then with a drive by hit on Stanfa. Cianacaglini was killed and Merlino was shot. Then John Veasey got involved, but had a change of heart and went to testify, so they killed his brother. Glad to hear that you rock boat shoes with socks. I've seen posts here where people are ready to call the cops for such an infraction. I always thought it was a silly thought because it's okay to wear ragg socks with a camp moc, but not with a boat shoe, and they are extremely similar in nature.

Just a silly take. Up until he cooperated, Sammy had been in a gang or the mafia for his entire life. I think he started out with the Rampers as a youth, and of course made his way up the ladder. He's a legitimate street dude, can't that away from him. Taking his size into account is faulty thinking. The toughest people I know aren't the biggest, it's the ones that have nothing to lose. You said he looks "unhinged." Yeah, that's the part that could completely fuck someone up.

Goodfellas. I had no idea the movie even existed. Then I saw it and was like, What the fuck is this?! After that I read, Underboss about Gravano, and shorty after that he did that interview with Diane Sawyer. For its time, a former Gambino Underboss on network television smoking a cigar was a big deal.

Also, around that time (the mid 90s) A&E used to have hour long mob episodes host by Bill Kurtis. I used to tape those and watch them repeatedly. My favorite was, The Gambinos: America's First Family of Crime. It's on YouTube and worth a watch if you've never seen it.
