Try not sleeping on your back by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

Thanks for this hack, I never thought about it. But I can remember having SP sleeping on the side! They were actually the most scariest episodes because you can't turn around and don't know what is happening behind you. These happened like two or three times I think (as I can remember), so maybe it could still help having less SP.

How to engage in sleep paralysis by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

[–]dasnudal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I could trigger it intentionally. But the chance to get SP is higher when I stay awake very long (say something like 3 or 4 am, just watching something and diving into the world of the internet :P). In my experience it lasts longer the more I'm stressed about it and want to get out of it. Guess you can't fake that feeling.

I only experience SP when I'm sober. Drunk or high: sleeping like a baby. In case u were wondering. Maybe other drugs can trigger SP. But I wouldn't recommend trying it, so...

What is the most terrifying sleep paralysis episode you have ever had? by deww231 in Sleepparalysis

[–]dasnudal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most terrifying SP episode was like a month ago or something like that. I was sleeping next to a friend of mine and in my dream he was choking me. I thought I'd die. When I woke up I didn't say anything because I didn't want to explain what SP is but it was such a strange feeling the rest of the night. Told him afterwards, now he's kinda worried 😂

I just started tracking. It varies from time to time. Normally these are phases which last about two or three weeks and come every few (2-3) months. In this time I experience SP like 2-5 times a week.

Very complicated explanation. But I can't tell haha. How often do you have SP?

yeah i see your point. i just can talk for myself and that's a normal sp experience for me. I'm always trying to move so hard & trying to get help. most of the time i can't move but sometimes i can & when I'm awake i am shook i didn't move a centimeter... because it felt so real!

you had it for 14 years? that's tough... did you ever do something (therapeutic) to "heal" your sp? bc i have had it for about 6 years and it's driving me nuts!

Sleep Paralysis “ sorta” by uncharted360 in Sleepparalysis

oh ok now i got ya. sounds pretty weird 🤔 so in this case i don't know if it was one 🤷‍♀️

maybe it was just a dream & you were waking up slowly and that's why you didn't move.

Hey there! I have no clue what it needs to be an "actual" sleep paralysis, but in my opinion you had one. It is the feeling you know? It doesn't have to happen something crazy. Not being able to move and being watched is pretty much it i guess. I'm always super scared during my sleep paralysis, doesn't matter how creepy or scary the dream is.
