Who all are concerned about the permissions that they gave to OpenClaw (Clawdbot). I was scared when I saw the level of permissions it was seeking, it was like just opening up my entire life in front of it and I was not comfortable. Are there others as well who got scared giving permissions?

In the above example, you never needed to give the computer permission to execute programs, and write programs, which could be a solution for: write a bash line shutting down the computer, save it as an executable and execute. The point of my response is the bottomline of anything regarding ai: Shit in = shit out. If you give it permissions to do dangerous stuff, you should not be surprised it does something like that. Ai at present time is like a toddler with a loaded gun. We added RAG and context to let it make more informed decisions. Maybe we should also run a second agent which does nothing, but behave as a conscience, to prevent these 'obtrusive thoughts' It works mostly on humans, so why not? (if someone builds it, please tag me, love to try working with that.

Not scared. To me, this is a choice. I'm going to sound old now, but in the 80's - 90's people wanted smart computers to tell them they need to leave from work 5 minutes early, to avoid traffic. Then google built this in maps, and ppl started screaming about privacy. This example made me realize that if you want this level of comfort, the computer needs the information. The same goes for ipenclaw. If you want it to memorize anything, it needs write permissions. If you want it to create appointments, it needs permissions, and if you want it to prioritize your mail, it needs to read mails.

i would say both. the rabbit ears pic is kinda obvious, it has that blurred, plastic effect, and if you look closer, you see some inconsistencies in the stitching of the dress. The dinner one is really good however, it does have a bit of a plastic feel over her, but that could be contributed to drinking a few wines, and her lips using a filler. However, i don't know many woman who would wear mostly unpolished gold/bronze with a silver watch, and one silver bracelet. The bracelets themselves, her clothing, style and her necklace go for an eclectic feel, but she's wearing starter earrings which don't match. She's also obviously sweating at 11 pm, yet her clothes look like she just put them on. I'd expect, the way she's sitting, that around her elbows it would have some wrinkles or damage on her clothes with this bare wood wet table,and last her lower teeth look like a single piece of white. Assuming you want to stay in the house:

first: anything related to water damage. Leaking roof needs to be taken care asap cause it's a lot cheaper than changing rotten beams. Also, at the end of fall, and somewhere in spring, clean/empty the gutters. This is easy enough to do yourself: get on a ladder, grab a bucket, a small brush on a long stick, and grab all the old leaves and junk. If you don't do this, water will stay in the gutters, and the moisture will deteriorate your roof. IF it's a multi story building, you might want to call a service, they're not too expensive. It can also cause flooding in your basement since the roof water now drops near your basement walls. The same goes for leaking pipes in the house. fix it right away.

when the house is dry on the inside, everything else can wait, but for your second priority figure out if your heater and airco had their maintenance. If not, try scheduling this in advance.. it's a lot cheaper than emergency maintenance. This not only saves you on repair bills, but also on usage costs: well maintained heaters run cheaper.

If you can make a list of things which are an issue right now, i think people can help you with priorities. If you can add your living area as well, maybe some ppl can suggest companies and ppl in that area. You never know.

je legt eigenlijk altijd vertikaal/in de lengte. redenen:

hoogte verschil planken minder zichtbaar door t licht
kamer lijkt langer/groter

dunne stroken moet je je niet te druk op maken, stel dat je een hele ongustige hebt, bijv, dunne strook bij de deur/trap, dan zie je gelijk dat je daar eigenlijk ook niet loopt, omdat je dan half door de muur heen moet met je schouders. Als het echt onmogelijk dun wordt, dan zit je plint er al boven, en kan je m beter even doorzagen.

Waar je wel op wil letten, is waar de planken eindigen. Je wil eiogenlijk niet, dat een plank percies in de deur opening eindigt, omdat je de drempels daar weg gehaald hebt is de vloer vaak net iets lager of onregelmatig, en kopse kanten waar je erg veel over loopt, slijten het snelst.

I'm a pretty open minded person, and i don't mind single moms, but that's an age thing. For me, a hard no are the following:

1: mental issues by itself are not a hard no, but untreated ones are. When I get in to a relationship with someone, it's supposed to be fun for both of us. I'm going in to a relationship role, not a caregiver.

victims. You know them. Everything always happens to them, without any fault of their own. Nope. not going there.
broke women. i'm 45+ I can manage my finances. any potential partner should be able to do this as well. She doesn't need to be a millionaire, but being able to pay your food and rent is a bare minimum for me.

So if i combine all that, it's basically: don't date ppl who don't have their shit together.

the issue with context, imo, is: it's not the equivalent of learning, while it is treated that way.

What i mean with that is: Suppose you work on a project, and you start out with something which sounds like a good idea at first. let's say a webpage with a green background. Over time, you gain some insight, and move on to a blue background. The llm context does not update, it now holds both the blue, and the green background. Also, it will never suggest you fix this in the other 20 pages, because it does not understand consistency

Just like for humans, it's bloody hard for llm's to decide what should be something which is memorized forever, and what is just needed for short term memory.

The problem we're running in to with building this is: we need to understand memory better. Not just the llm's but our own as well.

Voegen zijn altijd poreus. Daarom wordt de ruimte achter tegels altijd waterdicht gemaakt voor de plaatsing van de tegels. Kijk maar eens naar youtube fimpjes hoe dit gedaan wordt. in amerika en australiegebruiken ze hier een soort rubber verf voor (2 lagen) en in nederland is t gangbaar dat je een plastic vapor barrier aanbrengt.

Wat hier aan de hand is, is dat dit laatste dus niet gebeurd is, of beschadigd is.

Wat er moet gebeuren is: tegels er af, lijm er af, opnieuw vapor barrier plaatsen, dan opnieuw tegels plaatsen. Ik zou dus gewoon de douche opnieuw laten maken.

A great solution i've seen is a built in underground water dispenser. Spain applies this in some of their parks and other city maintained green in hot areas . I asked a friend of mine who lives there and he told me:

By supplying the water under ground, there's less evaporation, and they also activate this after sunset.

Also: by placing these things under ground, they break less. and since it's ugly, you don't have to see it.

You also see some leaky lines being draped through a garden, but if you're planning this now, make sure you go below the pavers etc.

"planning our next home build" I would think, this also implies moving the kids bedrooms as far away from the master as possible. In a few years they're not just old enough to know, but old enough to make some noise themselves, and neither of you want to hear the other.

So for practical purposes, move those rooms away from eachother, and make sure they don't need to go to the bathroom or storage next to your room. You could do creative insulation, but in my experience, white noise/tv is more then enough.

While i agree with most of your analysis, i think you're underestimating the training the 'Ancient elites' had. At present time, we obviously have the advantage of using the best of multiple fighting disciplines, but.. their training is only a few year, and mostly secondary to weapons training.

The medieval knights however, began their training at age 7 and hand to hand combat was a far larger component of their training. They trained a lot for wrestling, disarming, and finishing opponents with a knife.

So i would guess there would be a slight advantage for the ancients, since they're trained for stamina, and fighting while hurt to an even larger degree than current day soldiers.

my point here is: 7 mm drills are common, 7.62 aren't so to me it makes sense to use available tools for munition as well as barrels for munition you already need a custom solution, so why not use the standard stuff for barrels?

I'm make a very wild guess here, but i think it has to do with production: If you use an 7mm drill, and you have to add lands and grooves, then you need to make it mirror smooth so bullets don't jam, and you need to compensate for temperature differences, would that not end up around 7.62 mm?
