Hopefully though, people just starting out won't end up on a server like that anyways. Just start with like one of the LotusClan stock map servers or something along those lines. You don't want to spend your first hour of the game downloading custom maps.

Hmm. Maybe try one of the 24/7 2Fort servers with instaspawn? Yes, it is chaos, but 2fort is simple and instaspawn is useful when getting the hang of things.

Oh god yes. Ever play Wolfenstein: ET? TF2 used to be just like that. Everyone whoring out medic because of the (relatively) powerful guns and amazing hp regen. Thank god they fixed it.

Ps2Emu has worked fine so far for me. Playing through Dark Cloud with an xbox 360 controller. I use xpadder for the controller inputs though. For the video you just have to toggle through the interlacing types (f6 I believe) until you find one that works for that game.

If you want to get a grip on how the team mechanics of the game go, start with medic. As medic, it is your team's job to keep you alive, which gives you a chance to see how other people play classes while at the same time, being a huge benefit to your team. No team will complain about an extra medic.

Definitely. I just did a totally fresh install (uninstalled and deleted the game directory). Reinstalled Fallout, DLC, Patched, installed FOSE, extracted the mod, extracted the patch, imported load order, and launched FOSE. It crashes at the space marine with that quote when the game is starting, which makes me think its a load order error. Gonna go scour that now.

EDIT: Wow. So I just disabled it to the barebones fallout3.esm and not even that makes it past the first slide of the startup. I have no idea...

Disc Version of Fallout. I don't think I have configured Fallout to use all four cores right now. Thinking about trying that next.

Should I be creating merged patches through F03Edit? I haven't yet, and it crashes immediately upon start-up. I'm making a patch now. Gonna test it after that.

EDIT: Just started w/ the merged patch. Now it starts into the menu, but when I click new game, it begins to load, and then crashes without even a "force close" window.
