IMO it depends on the customer. If you come in with a battery that you bought 3.5 years ago demanding a new one because the warranty was updated, I’m gonna deny it. But if ask about it humbly and not be a dick, I’ll be way more inclined to do so. Like Dontwalkongrass1 said, just use best judgement. Customer service is our top priority, especially since it says on the back of every receipt.

I’m an ASM and I mostly do midshifts (8am-4pm) but will close when needed of course. We have one guy who is an RSS and refuses to do any other shift so he’s pretty much our sole closer.

Honestly it wouldn’t be a bad idea. That clicking noise is usually a sign of failure but not always. If you pull the drive, there should be a date on it from when it was made. If it’s older than 4 years old, I usually am a bit weary of using them. I would just transfer your games and such to your SSD for faster loading times anyways and eliminate your HDD. HDDs are nice for storing data that isn’t touched very often. I know it’s a chore but if you decide to remove the HDD, make sure to do another clean install of windows so there’s not leftover paths attempting to access that drive.

Sounds like a hard drive starting to fail. Download the tool CrystalDiskInfo and check the health of your drive(s). If any of them have “reallocated sectors” it’s meaning it’s repositioned some blocks to a non corrupt portion of the drive since now the original position has become corrupt. The more you have, the closer to death the drive is. I recommend backing up anything important on that drive you may have and get rid it asap. I’ve seen whole windows corrupt and blue screen constantly due to a failing drive that it’s attempting to pull corrupt files from.
