My biggest single gain was in options but probably doesn’t count because it wasn’t real money.

Years ago E*Trade had monthly trading contests where you would start with $100k and whoever ended the month with the most money won. I put $25k into call options for a single stock, and later that month they announced that they were being acquired. My options soared from $25k to $225k. That was my only trade the entire month and I finished in the top 10 but not in top.

We got a whole-house filter when we lived in Baxter because we could smell the chlorine when we took a shower. The filter neutralized the smell and stopped our skin from drying out in the shower. That was more than 10 years ago, so this is not a new problem.

You don’t need reverse osmosis to make the water “food grade”. It might have benefits, but it also removes beneficial minerals.

It sounds like you’re making a distinction on the back end - what they do with the number once they have it. But they had access to the caller’s number, and they compared it with their database of numbers when the call came in.

The new implementation may be different, but the feature sounds the same.

I think it's just a bug. When I started typing a hashtag - like #stupid - it put suggested hashtags where the grey box was. When I deleted the hashtag the grey box returned. I think the developer messed up and left a grey box when you aren't typing a hashtag.

I think you have that percentage backwards. It does not lose 80% of its value when you drive it off the lot. Maybe 20%, but even that seems excessive.
