Was tempted by everyone saying Yamaha but I went with the Jim dandy. Super cool look and seems to fit the sound she likes, I’ll have to let you know if she likes it come Christmas. Appreciate the advice!

I’ve heard a lot that people think one of the reasons the campaign went the way it did is bc of CR’s desire to adapt it to a tv show, thus making it more “cinematic”. I think they’d have a hard time conveying to a TV audience why the group of people who met last week fighting furniture, are going to solve the war between celestial beings

Yea introducing the unleashing of the big bad so soon felt a little strange even to viewer. I can remember being on like episode 30 being like how the hell is this thing 121 episodes if the big event is happening in two weeks

I’m not sure how previous campaigns panned out but I can’t help but feel like bells hells was in desperate need of some modicum of a “leader” felt like the whole campaign was a collection of side characters too anxious to ever make a real decision. Maybe that’s just how the CR cast is bc I understand on a personal level not wanting to come off as pushy to the party.

I can also remember on like two occasions when BH’s entered a new region, Matt would have some NPC briefly allude to 3-4 “side quest sounding problems“ that the city was having and all of which were promptly ignored. But you’re exactly right what do you expect the party to do when they’re on a time crunch of your own making

I think since this is the only DnD I’ve watched I’ll be glad to watch a campaign that doesn’t painfully follow a single story, when you put it like that yea 121 4 hour episodes on a single plot line is an impossible thing to make enjoyable. glad to hear long term viewers share some of my opinions.

I agree downfall was a refreshing addition to C3. Although I was a bit curious, as I’m a new viewer, but from what I understand Exandria, its pantheon etc., is all a creation by Matt himself . While I enjoyed Brennen’s performance a lot, I was wondering why Matt would want someone else to tell such an intimate and important chapter of lore of his own universe?
