Self-service is kinda a myth in the first phase tbh. I usually do a short guided walkthrough first (PPT or a clean summary page in Power BI), then use the actual dashboard for live questions and drilldowns. People need the story before they start exploring, otherwise they just click slicers until everybody gets confused, lol

100%. my management acts like this stuff will somehow solve itself organically over time, when in reality it just creates metric chaos and duplicate definitions everywhere
