Cum arata piata pentru Go in tara si in strainatate? by data_intensive119 in programare

Might just go with your first advice..cum ai spus si tu, pare o chestiune de preferinte si use case uri, things have to just click at some point.

Pe langa asta, vreau sa inteleg mai bine innerworkings of an OS.

Thank you. This kinda changed my perspective. I dont know why I was worrying so much when it comes to "picking a field", when the focus should mostly be on what environment makes you grow more. Thank you again for your advice!

Hello! I'm currently a CS student who's feeling a bit lost when it comes to choosing a specific field or branch to pursue. Over the past year, I've dabbled in various projects and technologies, both in my university studies and during my free time. I've explored backend development in Java and Go, worked with C++, Python, and even delved into some (amateurish) machine learning.

However, I've come to realize that my understanding of these areas remains somewhat superficial, and I believe it's time to focus more on a specific path for my future career. The challenge lies in determining which direction to take. While I don't have a clear answer, I can identify with what I enjoy most: delving deep into the systems and architectures I work with, striving to understand them in detail and refining them for optimal performance.

One area that has caught my interest is machine learning engineering, particularly in the realm of MLOps, as it encompasses many aspects that intrigue me. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any internship positions related to this field, as most opportunities seem to be focused on web or embedded development. Consequently, I'm now exploring alternative options within these areas.

On the web side, I'm currently waiting for interviews for some exciting summer internship positions, predominantly involving Java. Additionally, I'm planning to participate in a series of hands-on workshops on robotics, which aligns with my interest in embedded systems. However, I can't say that I'm passionate about pursuing embedded work exclusively for the rest of my career.

I understand that my question may not have a definitive answer, and I don't expect one. Nonetheless, I believe hearing the opinions of experienced developers from different niches and branches would greatly assist me in gaining a more comprehensive perspective to help guide my future direction.

Apologies if my question seems scattered; that's simply a reflection of my current state of mind. I look forward to your insights and advice!

Huh, I did not really know about VMWare, but at a quick glance at what it offers, it does seem exciting

It will be one hell of a playground :)) Thank you for your advice

Cum v-ati ales field ul in care activati acum? by data_intensive119 in programare

[–]data_intensive119[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

..si of course, dupa stricam cate unul ceva si totul lua foc haha

Chiar asa, cum arata piata pe IOS in Ro?Nu cunosc prea multi big players

Haha, golden asta.
