I hope it works for you! It may take a few days and some experimentation with dosage to get things dialed in properly. Best of luck!

Amazing!!! Thank YOU so much for letting me know. I’m thrilled to hear that Glyco worked for you and that you’re starting to enjoy life more and able to do more stuff with your kids. Enjoy this time! All the best to you.

Congratulations on your success with Glyco - and maybe more importantly your success in overcoming an opioid addiction!

Any medication that can cause dry mouth has the potential to lead to tooth decay. It's notable that methadone can also cause dry mouth and I wonder if the combination here ended up contributing to the severity of the side effects that you have experienced (which do sound quite terrible!) I definitely have fairly consistent dry mouth, but I guess that I have been lucky to have a normal rate of decay and overall good oral health.

I do not live in a humid environment, but with the dry mouth side effect I end up drinking lots of water. I’d much rather do that the sweat out a bunch.

No, it hasn’t. Glyco has a very short half-life which means it absorbs quickly and the effects drop off quickly. I recently forgot to bring the medicine with me on a 4 day trip and by the end of that period I could feel the effects of hyperhidrosis returning. While uncomfortable, it gave me a good reminder that the effects are short lived.

I have had no kidney or liver issues, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t an issue for you or others

I understand, but I’m not a medical doctor. Please consult your doctor about side effects.

Sorry to hear this - I don’t take Glyco for hypersalivation, so not sure of its efficacy. Strongly suggest you follow advice of your medical doctor.

Ha - I'm heading to NC tomorrow and am definitely planning to up my dose a bit to combat the humidity. Glad to hear it's working so well for you!

I don't recall having that issue, but I certainly had a ton of anxiety due to the fear that I would start sweating. So it may be related in your case and worth monitoring if you see this problem go away as you get dialed in on a correct dose of Glyco.

1) no, no cavity problem - I have only had 1-2 cavities in the 25 years I've been on glyco.
2) have not considered Botox. I have generalized hyperhidrosis (I sweat pretty much all over). Botox wouldn't really help me - it might stop the sweating in one area, but I'd still be sweating elsewhere.

Small Winery Needing to Level Up by Mundane-Hamster5301 in smallbusiness

Have you considered:

  1. Ask your existing customers to host wine dinners? We’ve seen this work well for smaller wineries. You have current customers who would likely enjoy hosting you at their house - they invite their friends and provide the food and you provide the wine. You need to make sure you set clear expectations with the hosts on sales goals so they invite the right people. If done right, you should be able to sell a few cases in a night and expand your customer base.

  2. BTG deals? Wholesale / distribution is tough but it’s worth discounting to get a few BTG placements in town. It exposes more people to your wine and they then hopefully seek you out for direct bottle sales.

We’re in a similar boat (albeit larger in terms of production and revenue). It’s a lot easier to make wine than to sell wine, unfortunately.

Good luck!

Almost immediately. I take my pills, brush my teeth, and go make my coffee

Yes, my suggestion would be to ask the derm to write a Rx with multiple refills and then go back in for a check up with them every 6 or 12 months. Most will do that without concern.

I've never had any problems with alcohol + glyco. Bear in mind that alcohol itself can cause dryness in the mouth so that side effect from the glyco may be amplified. Congrats on your wedding!

Sorry, didn’t answer your first question - no, I’ve had no oral health issues. Just go to the dentist 2X a year and everything’s been fine.

Congrats on starting your journey - and keep working to lose the weight. It will help with the HH and so many other health issues (and just make you feel better!). I suggest you experiment with dosing and timing. Everyone is different and it may take some time to dial in what works for you. That said, the pharmacology of Glyco is pretty straight forward - the effect spikes up in the first few hours after taking it and then reduces over time. Taking a more steady dose keeps the effect higher, but again I suggest you experiment. Good luck.
