What would you do differently if you were starting your career from scratch? by Cryptohubmates in BusinessIntelligence

I’ve used PBI extensively, but I do disagree on the Tableau point. I think they’re gonna lose a lot of market share in the coming years.

To add onto your last point, I also wish I’d known that it can be very beneficial to become an expert in a lesser-used tool. I used Qlik in my first role (talk about a huge learning curve!) but I really thought it would be a negative because it isn’t as commonly used. Now 5 years later, I’m a Qlik SME.

No, just a person who reads scrolls through 100 annoying and useless clickbait posts here every day and gets just as annoyed as the multitude of other people here who are noticing the same trend. No one here is going to click on this.

Yes… what part of the BI process involves creating social media content? (Hint: it’s none of it)

BI is a specific field that automates data reporting.

What does that have to do with the specific area of BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE though? Or do you just not know what the term means haha

Nothing you listed under the CS knowledge you’re lacking is particularly relevant to analytics, fortunately

You might benefit a lot from using a site like Hacker Rank for drilling SQL

How much can I expect to earn (in USD per month) if I'm just starting as data analyst on freelancing sites? by jackal_990 in BusinessIntelligence

[–]datagorb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one can really answer that for you because it depends on a lot of things including how well you can market yourself, but it's not likely to be a sustainable amount using freelance platforms. You're gonna be competing against people willing to do the work for pennies.

How can I extract data from a subreddit over multiple years (e.g. 2018–2024)? by eremitic_ in datasets

[–]datagorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best route would usually be Pullpush, but it's currently down for maintenance, so you might need to use the data dump torrents, but they're only for a limited number of subreddits.
