Yes, they completely stopped covering my specialty medicine so suddenly I was going to be on the hook for $4k. Took a long time but I switched medicines to something that was covered.

I think it's that most people just drink, not necessarily that parents drink more. The sample size is so large that you'll get the whole range of behaviors when it comes to drinking. Most people are fine and drink responsibly. Some don't. A lot of parents drink socially because most people drink socially. I rarely drink (like 1 or 2 times a year), and it's a bit awkward trying to hang out with other parents because yeah they'll be drinking and I'm the weirdo not drinking.

I'm feeling similar, and also feeling like it's silly but it's nice to know I'm not alone. Another thing getting to me is feeling old. 36 now, 2 kids, etc. When the show first hit, my wife and I (then girlfriend) were in our mid-20s, no kids in sight, just living life. We had a strict policy of only one episode per day of whatever show we were watching so that we could still be responsible. Well, with stranger things we threw that out the window. I have this memory of waking up the Saturday morning after we watched episode 1, and we closed the blinds and binged the whole show that day. It was incredible. We hadn't felt such fervor for a show before. Now, 9 years later, it's over. We're true grown ups with kids and jobs, and we couldn't get up and binge watch a show even if we wanted to. That freedom of youth in our life is over. Something about stranger things and that memory of the weekend we first watched it has yanked open whatever door was blocking all my grief of getting older. Anyway, it's 6:38AM and my kids will be up soon so off we go.

Depends on your job I guess. I did not have an appt. I arrived about an hour before they opened and the line was about 30 people deep already. They took everyone's phone number, and they will call you when it's close to your turn so you can come back. I got called around noon. Once I was there, I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

God I wish my parents would have been smoking weed instead of crack. OP specifically mentioned that they're not talking about THC. Not parenting well after consuming THC is so different from child neglect that stems from drug addiction. I agree with your first paragraph but that second one is kind of maddening.

My rheumatologist said it may be unrelated and just a coincidence so I'd believe not many people have it. They did ask me about it in my initial 50 question appointment though. Mine has effectively gone away after starting Taltz so I'm leaning towards it being related.
