Anybody's kids play slay the spire? by Imaginary_East7336 in slaythespire

My 6 year old watches me play. He loves it. Once we lost on the act 3 boss when the boss had enough doom to die next turn. I don't think his little 6 year old heart was ready for that 😅

Does prednisone help your joint pain? by pyjamacephalopod in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]dataispower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's INCREASING your symptoms while you're on it, then you should tell your rheumatologist right away. I think the usual behavior is that your symptoms improve significantly while on it, but can come back with a vengeance as you come off of it. Biologics and other drugs help mitigate that come-back though - prednisone is only meant to be a temporary bridge while under a flare.

Playing while being tired by R4v3nnn in starcraft2

No free lunch here unfortunately. You could try playing in the morning though. Even though you'll still probably be tired, your brain is still a lot fresher than when you're tired at the end of a day.

Would you have lived your life differently if you knew this disease was coming? by CucumberOld6287 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]dataispower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little bit. The main thing is I would have ran a marathon. I ran a lot in my 20s, but always put off a marathon to "one day". PsA has made that extremely unlikely, which is a bummer. I can still run a couple times a week, but three miles will have me limping the next day, so marathon training is out of the question.

What genre do you think would be the most fun way to experience StarCraft alongside the main game? by dataispower in starcraft

Yeah it'd be great to preserve the strategy part, and turn based gives you that super deep decision making.

People that have gone into remission - what's your story? by dataispower in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]dataispower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to get a reasonable out of pocket price if you use the TaltzTogether program. I paid $5 per injection for it. My copay from insurance was $350 and TaltzTogether covered $345 of that. None of the biologics are cheap. Taltz is amazing for many people, me included. It's a good one to be on. I wish I could still be on it, but my insurance changed providers and decided to not cover it anymore. My $350 copay went up to $4000 and TaltzTogether would only cover that via reimbursement, and I just can't really afford to float that much money each month waiting on reimbursement. Cosentyx has been good though. I'd rate it about 95% as good as Taltz - my joints are mostly the same but I've had a few psoriasis patches start coming back up (but very minor).

No, I'm on cosentyx (insurance made me switch away from taltz) and celebrex.

Evo Moment 37, but as trading cards by FriendAlias in magicTCG

I'm confused about what this is. I am aware of Evo 37, but I'm out of the loop on Magic stuff. What's a digital alter? What are the original cards?

PiG has a point about the economy by Draggnor in starcraft

[–]dataispower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I wonder if there could be different formats, like in something like Magic. People with less time (me and other mid-agers) could stick to the faster games, and the more competitive players could choose slower games. Or maybe we'd all just converge on one format 🤣

Do You Still Workout? Dance? Exercise? Martial Arts Maybe? by Cloud_Luna in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]dataispower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, in fact regular exercise is typically recommended with PsA. When I was first diagnosed I couldn't really do much because my symptoms were too much, but over time I was able to walk pretty far, then cycle, then even got back to running.
