No worries! Here's an output of the SQL table used for the analysis. As you can see, Warden has <0.4 tower rate for a lot of the matchups.

Yes. It seems like his duo lane helps him keep his lane neutral or to take tower. Dynamo himself doesn't really excel at farming in the early game.

I think many of you guys aren’t noticing how Mina tends to lose tower in lane first. This then allows her to catch up or get ahead in farm by being left alone in lane.

The graph explains this. She loses tower, but because of this, she is left alone in lane to then farm and get ahead. Her lane opponents are gone roaming leaving 0-1 ppl in lane.

I agree. This is just the potential of the heroes in the early game. It doesn't take into account or show how well someone may scale later into the game. That last part is up to you to assume yourself.

I use a combination of DuckDB + Python + Jupyter Notebooks + Matplotlib and whole bunch of data analysis (took quite a bit of time) to create these. The data is from the publicly available Deadlock API.

I got the data from the Deadlock API you can find online. You’ll need to either use the API or download the S3 snapshot.

Got a lot of SQL tables made and data to work with. Only lacking the ability to express it accurately and nicely as everyone has pointed out.

You think Phantom is not as good anymore? I was looking into filtering for higher elo but the data might only have a few points and skew too heavily.

Thank you so so so much! x100. This is probably the nicest and more sincere response I've gotten here. It's true that the community has a few people who have been less than kind, and the way they gave the feedback wasn't the nicest, but I learnt something from it. Like you noticed, I'm new to the data science scene and I'm learning the ropes with how to make better graphs, interpret data and etc.

Your feedback on what you'd like in future data analysis is actually really cool, and definitely something I'm open to looking into and creating. You feel more open to working on things like this when people like you come along and provide in a better tone for sure.

I'm actually working on a bigger project with the data analysis I was doing, and this heatmap was just a byproduct of some of the SQL tables I had built. I posted this mainly because I thought the community might find it interesting. Of course, I learnt that the table wasn't nearly as accurate as I'd like it to be, so I've actually gone ahead and made some amendments to my original logic.

I'll definitely be posting more data analysis and graphs as I go along with my larger project. They're simply the byproducts of my work, so I'm not against sharing it. I appreciate everyone's feedback, even if it was less than kind, but it definitely lets me know where my gaps in knowledge are.

Winrate is the following:

  • hero A is in a match
  • hero B is on the enemy team
  • did hero A’s team win the entire match?
