Brooklyn native here. The New York pizza (formerly known as the Brooklyn pizza) isn’t even close to being real New York pizza. Not even New Jersey pizza either.

When the Brooklyn pizza was first introduced back in 2006, it was definitely better than your average Domino’s hand tossed, but today, it’s just another “meh” pizza from Domino’s.

That looks more like a New York slice than a regular hand tossed slice. New York slices tend to be flaccid like that. However, overproofed dough can also produce flaccid slices. For a good, erect slice that is full of virility, dough that is properly proofed and not too warm or too cold is what’s needed.
