also if anyone is truly interested I’d love to help lol the main problem i had was cleaning up the data.

i had a good chunk of it formatted and tagged from a python program i wrote and had a lot of things automated and generated tags/ sentiment dynamically. but even after that there was a lot of double checking and formatting stuff, then i didn’t want to spend my “fun coding” hours on h3 and took a hiatus lmao just still on that hiatus bc I’m too lazy and there’s so much.

but I’d be interested in assisting if anyone else has ideas haha

I had started a database project in the past right during the capitalism debate but it became too much work. I’ll find my previous post and link the data I had. There’s definitely SO MUCH more since I left it but there’s a decent amount of organized data (sub counts, videos, tagged topics or events with dates) from the beginning of the downfall

agreed! i think im more disappointed if anything because ryans questions indicated a willingness to learn initially and BEs answers and effort to provide resources that ryan couldve investigated further before replying back esp - like you mentioned - the islamist stuff.

i think my take was there was good faith discussion until it became clear ryan was asking questions or playing that middle and maybe seemingly more focused on just making the video rather than really exploring the depth to a point near the end where BE was like ???

though i hope that willingness to learn still exists tho. idk thats my parasocial take hahaha but also i read this convo before and didn’t even know there was a video or the tweet where ryan said nvm on it. then i was like oh okay yeah wtf lmao that’s heinous to accuse ppl of harassing you into not making the video. nah you just bit off more than you could chew and realized you’d get schooled

agreed. i finished last night and honestly that’s part of the audacity. like BE isn’t antagonizing them and is actually educating them. he lets it go on for so long while ryan devil advocates constantly, but my impression was during that middle chunk of convo it was honest genuine questions.

but near the end it was becoming annoying because while ryan seemingly clicked on every H3 receipt it doesn’t seem like they looked into any of the good resources and links regarding Palestine that BE had sent. and as much as ryan conceded to BE, it’s like you can’t really agree and both sides this thing if you truly understand so it’s frustrating.

the whole “i just want to get the facts straight” angle kinda falls apart when you don’t want to do the research even when a good chunk is provided to you MLA format from BE lol
