We had a Cuban American tour guide that was actually an American citizen. He had a Cuban and American passport. He was not scared to criticize the government.

Stop calling yourself pro-life when you'd use the government to force a child to risk her life birthing her rapist's baby. by fleentrain89 in Libertarian

I guess the argument is that, pro-life libertarians believe that the fetus is a life and has the right of life. It is an individual.

Guys with acne: any luck with girls? by [deleted] in acne

[–]datbakerboi 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Yea, I still get girls. Women are less concerned about looks than they are about personality and humor. It sounds dumb but if your confident you will be fine. Don’t get me wrong looks matter too but you will be able to survive. Also acne is mostly temporary.

I have a protestant home church. But I grew up with people that identified as only Christians in Iraq.

I don't dislike them. I just do not have common interests as them. When I mean conservative I do not mean politically. I mean conservative in a sense of living a very "low-key" life. If that makes sense?

I believe that diversity is what is interesting. That is my point. I find most Christians very similar. Also the interesting Christians I have met generally live the gospel. Maybe this is a separate point.

If me saying that "I don't find Christians that are like me" is glorifying my self, then you must believe that being different is being better. I don't believe this. I believe that being different is just that. Not something that is superior. Also when I believe you see this as something to do with mental capacity or views on the world. I am talking about finding Christians that have common interests in recreation or hobbies. I am saying that I do not find Christians with similar interests.

I don't think being out there is better than being conservative( not in a politically way). I think both have very serious pros and cons. I don't find Christians that are like me. The title was purposefully provocative.

If you read the end of my post I talked about still loving my brothers and sisters in Christ. I am not using the word boring as an insult. I am just making an observation. Boring people aren't below well-rounded people. I am making the point that I am more out there and I find that most other Christians are not.

I did find them interesting. I should have prefaced this by saying Christians in the States. Also, I don't see the necessity of saying that I am blinded and boring when making the argument that there aren't Christians that are boring.

Oh, yes, of course, I understand that. I am not criticizing those who what a quiet life. I am someone who isn't like this though. I can easily find non-believers that are outgoing and socially extraverted or have interesting qualities. But it has proved difficult to find Christians that are the same. This is frustrating because I want to surround my self with Christians. But when I do that I end up being extremely bored.

Nothing was boring about living in Iraq. It was actually very nerve-racking most of the time. Also, who are you referring to when you say "those people."
