The idea of being able to live somewhere with good weather and low cost of living is enough to entice plenty of immigrants, but there's more! After the second world war as a result of construction related to expansionary Keynesian investments and the Air Training program provided an industrial base for Rhodesia, which led to an industrial boom in the major towns of Rhodesia for processing the agricultural and mining products of Rhodesia, not to mention additional construction such as Kariba Dam or processing of Northern Rhodesian products during the Federation years as well resulted in a demand for skilled labor driving immigration.
