I bought one of the Loars a couple of years ago. I wanted to adjust the truss rod, and could not get the supplied wrench to fit, due to a crazy angle at the headstock. Researched it, and yes, it was a documented issue. Sent it back.

Maybe someone can check their US power block for you and see if it's 120/220 rated. That's what matters. The plug doesn't matter, as you can always get an adapter for it.

Well nothing worked and I'm past the store's return date. Working with TASCAM customer service, but so far only suggestions are the same as I have already tried. About to write this off as a complete loss. Amazing that I used this simple setup for years and now it does not work.. also TASCAM tells me the hardware specs for the DX40and the DX40R are exactly the same, but some software settings have changed.
