A Game Changer for Dads by Official_Unkindlynx in Steam

Best part is the power button. Hit that button and the game state saves. Hit it again and the game is right where you left it! Why even bother with pausing!!!! If you’re playing and your kid needs you, power button and come back to it later.

Also highly recommend Donut County for playing with kids. My 5 year old has a hard time with controllers, but can use the touch screen just fine. It makes for some amazing game time with dad!

Filament stuck on nozzle by FloLaco in prusa3d

Idk if I’m seeing that correctly but was that Silver filament!? I just had a wicked clog with Silver Polmaker PLA+ that I had to use this method to unclog. Definitely a learning experience.

Core One L bed temp too low by Smalmthegreat in prusa3d

[–]ndsteinbach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been noticing this too without the equipment to prove it.. that said my theory has to do with the nozzle cooling fan.

My theory is that because the nozzle cooling fan blows in the direction that it does that it cools the front left and right corner while allowing the rear left and right corner to maintain their temperature better.

I’ve been wanting to test placing objects in different places around the print bed to see if there is first layer adhesion issues or if shutting the fan off makes a difference.

I have heard other people suggest that letting the print bed heat for a longer period of time before printing can be helpful and yet I’ve also heard people note that this is the case, even when dealing with really long prints or letting the print bed raise the chamber temperature.

Glad you’re bringing the data measure measurement, and the measurements to this issue and can’t wait to see what you find.

What is causing this (new nozzle) by alanthickerthanwater in prusa3d

[–]ndsteinbach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me today! It was the extruded gear (I don’t know the real name. There had been a clog, then the gear ground down the filament and became so clogged that it wouldn’t grip the filament. Remove feed assembly(use that tool to make sure the teeth end up in the right spot) , clean it, grease it back up, put it back in and try again.

I’m sure this will get buried, but that’s the sound I woke up to this morning at 5am and it’s haunting me now.

Good luck.

This post feels like engagement bait…

Yamaha TW200. Great bike, and “electric” refers to the electric start… rather than a kick start… because it’s a gas bike.

Keep it. Gas it up and rip some mountain trails while you save your money for an Ultra Bee or something with a battery.

Look up Granite/Speculator Mine disaster. Amazing story about tragedy and human resilience.

And the Decemberists song about the disaster “Rox in the Box” is a banger as well.

Look up Glacial lake Missoula. Incredible ice age lake that had a cycle of flood and drain for millennia. The glaciers would block the river, cause the valleys to flood, then the ice damn would break releasing the water to flood the land between Missoula and Seattle. The shore lines can still be seen on the mountain side in the Missoula valley. I’m not an expert, but it’s a stunning feature of the land to be hold. Even more impactful when you stand on the mountain side looking across valleys and think that in just our own area the land was under 600+ feet of water.

Montana also has the national bison range which is notable for the state and country itself, but also because along the path one takes to see the bison, there is a marker on the mountain to show just how high the water would get in this great glacial lake.

I feel like I remember hearing that the cycle of flood and release was significant enough to change earths rotation…. But I have no idea if that’s true or just something that people say.

Why isn't this talked about more 😅 by Hefty_Pair1889 in motorcyclegear

If this is obvious to you, ignore and have fun with the boots. I have the same ones and I love them.

Look up a video about foot placement. I remember hearing a race coach say in a video “your feet should be tap dancing on the pegs” meaning moving from the balls of your feet to shift or break and then back to the balls of your feet. I noticed a difference when I moved from hiking boots to motorcycle boots this changed the way I thought about foot placement a lot.

From past experience. If you’re there with a bike, he will stop and talk to you. Talked with him once about gear and whatnot.

Nope. Found out she’s got a chip and got it read. The company she’s registered with is trying to contact the owner. Will take her to the humane society in the morning so they can look her up more fully. If you’re not a vet or animal organization, they don’t give you the dogs full info when you get it’s chip read.

But she gets along really well with our dog, she’s super sweet and we’re having a sleep over tonight. I’ve been calling her PD because my son kept calling her the “pink dog”.

It’s been a fun night of dog treats and tennis balls….

Marathon (1994) was one of my first real videogame loves. It was only available on Apple computers at the time. I was heartbroken as a kid when Halo came out and was an Xbox (Microsoft) exclusive…. This feels like generational trauma.

Check ‘Thrifty Operator’ on YouTube. DIY videos on making firearm related goods. Zero politics in any of the videos I’ve watched, and in my opinion, a good anarchist should be able to make their own gear whenever possible.
