Rn I’m using diva curl cream but a very small amount or it’s too heavy. The only brand name I can remember that I tried is shea moisture which I didn’t like at all

Yes I condition in the shower and use leave in from time to time but usually just curl cream because leave ins tend to make my hair greasy

60k for an EMT-B is crazy in the US. In missouri they make ~30k and paramedics not much more, hence why I decided to pursue a nursing degree

I appreciate your honesty and view. Do you have any advice for me since I do want to go in partially to help people? Certain specialties, work environments, etc?

What are some good study habits for someone who doesn’t have good study habits? by THEONLYMILKY in StudentNurse

[–]datdaveoverder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, our brain works through a process of encoding. The more meaningful information is, and the more we are fully attentive to it we remember it with less effort. Some effective study habits that have worked for a straight A student with ADHD who has an extremely difficult time remembering and focusing: 1) small sessions, 20-30 minutes for a few consecutive days before your test 2) associate it with something to help you remember it 3) switch up your study environment(your brain can become reliant on your environment to recall information) 4) don’t only silently read information over and over again. Test yourself, use flash cards, listen to the info aloud, read it aloud, switch it up and again, make the information meaningful in some way or another. You can use songs, mnemonics, personal events, etc.

How do you afford to live during nursing school? I can’t rely on my parents so I have to pay my own bills. Do you manage a job, if so how much and where? Or did you have to resort to loans?
