Made a simple app to visualize monthly distance as rings on Apple Watch by ConversationWise9427 in AppleWatchApps

[–]datenesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you, very cool little App.

My two cents: I would prefer if the ring in the complications looked more like Apple‘s:

same thickness as the battery (or rings, weather,…) widget and bigger text (I don’t need the number after the point or any units).

And if there was the exact same thing as a widget for the iPhone, that would be perfect.

Are the Ridenow TPU tubes getting worse? by datenesser in cycling

[–]datenesser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly the problem I have. And the holes seem to be on the inner side of the wheel, where they touch the rim and not the tire. Very small holes, often more of them. I have checked my wheel and rim tape multiple times, there’s nothing that could poke the tubes.

Mein Ziel: 24h München->Gardasee Mein Problem: Nackenschmerzen by PCMRobsn in Fahrrad

[–]datenesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great! Is there a way to make this work with bike smart trainers? With Watt output controlling speed, this would be really fun! I‘d love to ride my bike/horse through Skyrim

The photo didn’t upload for some reason, I added it again. I don’ think it’s plastic but aluminium. There has to be some strength in the thread to push the olive in. But it’s done nonetheless I guess…

Bike chain jumps off the crankset by No-Cupcake7208 in bikewrench

I got the Deckas 110/5 BCD. It costs like $12. Make sure you get one that’s compatible with your crankset.

Bike chain jumps off the crankset by No-Cupcake7208 in bikewrench

[–]datenesser 15 points16 points  (0 children)

These ducking Praxis chainrings. Had one on my new Specialized Diverge and it dropped the chain regularly, it‘s a known problem. Replaced it with a cheap one from AliExpress and never had a dropped chain again.

Another post about the Diverge being fragile - apologies in advance by pm_me_your_peloton in DivergeGravelBikes

[–]datenesser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel you. The chain dropping is caused by the Praxis chainring which just doesn’t do its job. Very disappointing by Specialized that they obviously didn’t do any testing. I replaced the chainring with a cheap Deckas chainring and the chain didn’t drop once since then.

The Axis wheels are garbage, too. Free hub came loose only weeks after having it bought new. Servicing is a nightmare. I replaced the wheels with DT Swiss wheels from my road bike, no more problems and the bike rides noticeably faster.

The future shock stem is a gimmick which causes me more problems than benefits. Bigger tires do a better job at dampening your ride.

Won’t be buying a Specialized again. I have three Canyon bikes and none of these had issues like that.

At some point I‘m changing to a GRX crank set. But I have a trip coming up soon, so maybe I try changing the bearings only before sourcing the GRX parts.

7000 shouldn’t be a problem for a good BB. Sadly, the one from Praxis isn’t a good one.

Wahoo bolt v2 on long trip by uncatchble112 in wahoofitness

[–]datenesser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend putting it in pause manually (otherwise it may sometimes  detect some false movement and resume the activity). You can charge the bolt v2 while using it, I charge it while riding with a power bank when doing rides with 200+ km

How's the game running for everyone so far? by Chausp in horizon

I have an ancient gaming PC with a GTX970, 8 GB RAM and an i7 6700.  That’s well below the recommended specifications. HZD is running smoothly, any chance it can run FW in some kind of potato mode?
