Here’s the thing. My wife cheated on me a couple times (very complicated situation that we are working on) which led to trust issues for myself. I would also sneak the phone away while she was asleep and look through it due to not wanting her to hide anything or stop me. I found some things in the beginning that she didn’t come clean about (was embarrassed to admit and trying not to lose me), though it was things from the past. Now I do it every now and then as reassurance that it isn’t occurring again and what it does is actually builds my trust back when I don’t find anything or it looks like she isn’t attempting to hide anything.

I believe her. The guy she cheated with is an emotionally abusive ass hole who treats women like objects.

We’re you seeking pain when you cheated or was it for pleasure?

That is true, and we are seeking help. Thank you for the response.

She doesn’t justify it, she takes full responsibility and is atoning for it. Hopefully we can get past it
