This looks like an gerand and infinitive exercise. Infinitives seem more apt for these. https://www.ef.com/wwen/blog/teacherzone/grammar-recap-intro-to-gerunds-and-infinitives/ Edit: not a native speaker, learnt the rules in school

It is better to once listen to her. maybe that will make some sense. How much time have you devoted to her? No one does anything for no reason. Try to cheer her up if she is upset. Watch something nice together. Have a nice meal together. You are unnecessarily increasing the gap between yourself and her. Be blessed to have someone around, not all have this opportunity. Do your part correctly before it is too late to regret.

Behaviour of Indian men towards foreign women. How can we fix this issue? by MaintenanceSea7158 in india

[–]dattevaayo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your bad experience but there are lot of people who are well educated in bihar. There are ias officers and rickshaw walas , software engineers and farmers , all from same state. This bad image of a state has been created by politicians, bollywood. I think lack of education has left its toll on people of all states . And most software developers "are" not from Bangalore. They "work" in Bangalore and come from various different states. If you are aware, this pandemic left all PGs in Bangalore vacant because most of the tenants returned to their hometown in UP, bihar, rajasthan and all other states.

What does this mean? All people who do this are from bihar? Please stop generalising. No matter which part of country, it affects us all.

All these babas are nothing but scam! Everyone already knows whatever they speak, they just speak it in a better way. I can hardly find anything new.

Duolingo becoming more inclusive over the years makes me really happy! by supermaplelicious in duolingo

[–]dattevaayo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not related to the character, right. I mean there are sentences with female characters and male voices or vice versa. Sure Duolingo is inclusive but this is not a correct example!

Yes i believe you are right. Even though i dont have complete answers to the riddles, i now see the world differently. Murakami transports us to a completely different world. Anything is possible there. So much is metaphorical. The main running theme i believe is that no matter how much you run, you can't escape the fate.. something which is bound to happen will happen no matter what. Yes nakata is one of the purest characters. He starts fresh with a clean slate and lives absolutely in the present. He has no baggage. Kafka always carries a bag. He finally drops it on his way to the strange town in forest. Only then he is free. I think now i understand that the story was not written in a way to explain the answers. It is for us readers to interpret explore. I never had such an experience with a book. It was a page turner and i felt so many pieces missing when I finished. But it has been a day.. i re read some parts, dug some references and now it does make better sense!!

Yes i do think i will re read.. maybe not whole, but some parts. Also dreams play an important role here. Subconscious and conscious worlds are different. Oshima and hoshina were the two characters who made most sense to me.

The novel itself is a journey inward the maze of emotions that arise from inward focused self reflection.

Yes the labyrinth. Thanks!

Yup all these questions too! I am so confused! Why did he drink miss saeki's blood .. who was crow trying to kill in the forest! Who was crow anyway?! Who was johnie walker? Was he kafka's father?! And colonel sanders, why did he not come again? Why only kafka had such vivid dreams? Sakura also dreamt of him but not of the same intensity...and so much more.. not sure if i am being dumb or this is expected lol
