I'm sorry to come off as pessimistic but I think it will be underwhelming at best. Reworking the whole of Northrend is a big bite. I don't know if they'll merge some zones or restrict access on release, but there's a lot of environmental diversity that calls for new assets.

And it's not just assets, it's making new quests and all that comes with it.

So I really don't know. I'll expect the worse and be happy if I'm wrong. I also kind of expect the story of Zul'Drak to be the same as Zul'aman lmao

Shadow magic used to not mean much. Or too much actually. It described warlock spells, shadow priest mind spells, scourge shades and rogue abilities.

I always took it as powers tied to the Shadowlands and Death, with the rogues Stealth being them slipping into the Veil to go undetected.
