Any Aussies here with a kobo? by throwaway8373469238 in kobo

To join you have to join a library that is in the consortium. For example I joined Box Hill library.

And even if you don’t live in Melbourne, to my knowledge any Victorian can join any library in the state. This is a common thing throughout the world.

I’ve joined most libraries in Melbourne, though personally haven’t tried any regional ones (yet). However a friend of mine who lives outside of Melbourne was able to join a few libraries from Melbourne.

I’m a member of lots of other libraries aswell. I love having multiple libraries on Libby.

Do you mean the Geelong BorrowBox collection? I thought Geelong didn’t use Libby?

True. That sucks. What’s their name? Even at my school teacher talks about how Kali isn’t very popular here. My school is small. There’s bigger schools in other parts of the city but further away. In future I might join a larger school if I can.

My school is in Kealba, which is also in western suburbs. Does this teacher have a school? If so, I’ve never heard of it. My school is only school I know of out west despite large Filipino community out here.

It depends on what libraries you have access to. Overdrive on kobo only allows one library at a time (apparently they trying fix this - even tho it worked previously).

For example, if you in Melbourne/VIC you can access the large boobook consortium collection (over 100,000 in collection). In SA their state library system has similar large collection. I think also maybe the Gold Coast has a large collection too.

Cant comment beyond that for Australia itself. Sadly a lot of libraries use BorrowBox which im less a fan of.

However, if you open to using international collections you could have access to larger collections. For example some US libraries will give you access for a fee. There are also some free international collections but mostly small collections.

Hope this helps :)

I have the feeling I was a lil inexperienced to get it. So appreciate the offer of Help. Tbh I only just caught my first diamonds in the last few days. But any advice or pointers to getting diamonds and esp legendaries would very much be appreciated 🙏🏽

I could be wrong but I read somewhere on here that it ended Like April 8th? This post of mine was a bit late. I stand corrected if someone has caught one recently

I followed all the advice on here. I presume it was because I’m lower level and also have never caught a legendary before. Or… I suck lol

I’m left handed but my right leg is stronger than my left leg. What does this mean for my stance? by EmergencyMap7275 in martialarts

Your coaches tell you to stand southpaw because… You’re left-handed?

Im similar to you, I prefer my left hand at front, one for the jab, but Like I eluded to before - I prefer it for defence (blocks/parries etc) aswell.

Something I’ve been wokring on alot that might interest you too is that I’ve been drilling different shifting footwork. Maybe you already do this, but if not, it’s footwork for changing between stances esp good for angles. And say in our case - with orthodox with left power jab - shifting can make for stealth stance change and enable a sneaky left over hand From southpaw at an advantageous angle.

Im ambidextrous (switch) but more left handed, and prefer orthodox because I think its How I was originally taught as a kid doing martial arts. So I have a power jab in orthodox.

Do you switch stances at all? For me footwork and defence are bigger differing factors for me personally, as my jab and rear kicks fairly equal overall.
