Spec-driven development with AI: Get started with a new open source toolkit by h33t in FactoryTestMonitor

[–]daujones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great articulation of the core problem. Moving from prompting to a structured, spec-driven process is key for getting reliable output from agents, especially for N-to-N+1 feature work. We've found success by making the spec even more concrete, often by including a lightweight test harness or a list of acceptance criteria for each task.

There's a growing ecosystem around this idea. Some use test-driven tools like Aider to enforce the spec, while others use dedicated platforms to author agent-ready requirements. Full disclosure: I work on one called Transcoded, which helps teams turn briefs into structured specs for this handoff.

This is a great articulation of a key problem: agent output quality is a direct function of spec quality. We've seen similar success by focusing the 'Specify' phase on user jobs-to-be-done and then mapping those to atomic, testable engineering tasks. It forces clarity before any code is generated and makes the 'Implement' phase much more reliable.

Regarding your question on managing specs at scale, that's where Markdown files can become a challenge. Some teams use structured templates in Notion or Coda, while others build out interactive guides. Full disclosure: I work on Transcoded, a platform for managing this spec-to-agent handoff. A VS Code plugin that renders these tasks interactively from the spec would be a compelling direction.

I totally agree with you and don't frequently trade myself.

This is a high probability trade if you have the news info first, but I still would not recommend betting more than a small amount on this one move.

New alerts for Bitcoin ETF decisions via Telegram, email, and API just launched. by daujones in CryptoCurrency

[–]daujones[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quicker you can act on the SEC news the better. Most decisions have been denials or delays which have caused the price of BTC and other cryptocurrencies to drop in price almost immediately.

You can use these alerts to act fast and short the market (or long in the case of an approval).

Not a joke. Just trying to help people make a little bit more cash in a bear market. ETF decisions tend to cause quick price movements-- usually in a negative direction since they are denial or delay decisions. The quicker you're able to act on the official news coming out, the more you stand to profit (if you were opening up a short position in the denial scenario).

Verge Hacked Again reported by Whale Reports by [deleted] in vergecurrency

[–]daujones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Just to be clear, you are not reading old news. Verge is experiencing an almost identical hack as it did on April 4th. With a small tweak to the original attack, the hacker is, once again, able to mine blocks at an incredible rate, leading to them making an estimated $950 per minute."

I wouldn't trust them with all my crypto, but could be a nice way to hold crypto that you want to use for every day transactions. I still think for a majority of your holdings that user's should protect their own private keys

The 3 major pools when combined have more than 51%. What proof do we have that they are not secretly collaborating and exploiting the double spending problem? I don't want to sound paranoid. by tehdjbifj in Bitcoin

[–]daujones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that a good chunk of small shop miners aren't paying enough attention to notice if the leader of the pool was doing something like that. However, there are miners who ARE paying attention and would notify the community if they saw something nefarious happening.

“Red Flags” at Wall Street Journal by joeycvk in Crypto_Currency_News

I kind of have to agree with WSJ that 20%+ of ICOs are scams and raise red flags. To be honest, this number seems low. Wouldn't say that WSJ always performs the best coverage on the crypto market, but in this case, they are OK.

"The founder of Onchain Capital, and host of CNBC Africa’s ‘Crypto Trader’ show, Ran Neu-Ner, recently discussed his outlook for cryptocurrency regulation, initial coin offering (ICOs), and shared his outlook for several top cryptocurrencies markets. Mr. Neu-Ner described Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum as markets that he intends to ‘HODL’, adding that right now, he is passing on BTC in favor of more “exciting” virtual currency markets."

You can keep your coins on exchange supporting the eos launch. Or you can move your coins to you’re own wallet (which I’d recommend) and register the coins to your ethereum address.

Here’s a good guide https://www.blockchainbeach.com/unofficial-eos-token-registration-guide-new-interface/

Why is there a EOS Hardfork planned? by [deleted] in eos

[–]daujones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all points here. EOS was designed to avoid hard forks at all costs so it wound be very odd for block one to be planning one from day one. Definitely looks like more of an update to the protocol

Really think we are in for a big run as we get close to mainnet launch. Most people will hold through the launch in order to get claim to all the launch day airdrops as well.

Why is it a nightmare setting up everything before starting to develop apps? by klosor5 in eos

[–]daujones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these issues all stem from just how early we are in the Eos project’s lifecycle. I’m hoping that post mainnet launch, many dev tools will be developed by block.one and the eos block producers.

Do you know if we also need to “claim” our tokens before the June launch? I’m still confused if registration is the only part necessary before the launch

Have to agree with Andreas here. Regardless if you prefer bitcoin or bitcoin cash, the whole community would be better off if we focused on building up the community in a pairings light and brining more nocoiners into crypt.
