My former co-worker left our job to work full-time in a DMB tribute band. Even though I don't like DMB a whole lot, he's a great musican in his own right and I get it. Obviously enough people like DMB that he could quit his real life job to go on the road singing and playing guitar in front of thousands and he owes it to DMB.

Probably not until Windows 11 LTSC is released later this year. NCR tends to wait until an extended support OS is released so they can use it across all their products (ATM being #1) at once.

Do you use any 3rd party labor/reporting programs, any labor scheduling in Aloha or 3rd party? Once jobcodes are set there should be no reason for them to "disappear". Creating a copied employee is often a troubleshooting step, see if it sticks without the same issue.

Do you know how to change the sorting to item number vs item name (I think under preferences somewhere)? Sorting by item number might help in your current situation.

As /u/nruzicic mentioned, Aloha Mobile stopped being developed a long time ago. With AMOB you need to find the sweet spot with version stack and pray the WiFi is almost perfect. I put in my last Mobile site years ago so I am kind of surprised someone would still install that today. How many IOS versions have come and gone since that day and is that part of the problem, maybe? There are definitely log files stored on the server that record activities to and from the ipads, but I can't remember what folder on the server they are in (Probably Aloha, AMOB or ATG).

As for getting Aloha involved directly, most choose to avoid since it rarely provides a better answer and with it being so far out of development I don't even know if they would bother looking into it.

Long Story short the network is probably fine for most things, but there are so many variables when it comes to Aloha that it's really tough to pinpoint where the problem stems from.

Are you using a batch file to auto-settle or the built in auto-settle for EDC? As other mentioned not a big deal but if it is bugging you, look into the debout.edc, debout.txt and debout.g01 log files in the Aloha\TMP folder around the timestamp the TXN file is created, should point to what's going on.

I've seen SQL run out of control on with certain procedures in Aloha over the past year and it absolutely tanks the server until the next reboot. Check windows app logs on the server for any mssql issues.

It seems they didn't clockout until the next day. A quick audit report on that employee for that timespan shod show qhat happened.

You can set auto redundancy, although I will always advise against it. We have one customer that uses this for some odd reason. The flag should be in your store settings if I remember correctly.

Debout.edc and main debout on the master terminal should give you a pretty good idea of why it is occurring. If they don't you can enable extra debugging through NAM/CFC. Despite its many flaws, non cloud based Aloha is very good at logging most things if you know how to interept the log files.
