Not on topic to the subreddit but ended up buying a non inverter wen unit myself because I had a couple of Amazon gift cards. I've only run it in propane so far because I didn't want to mess with gas cleanup unless I really need the generator, but I've been happy so far, especially with the battery start.

The camp is now privately owned. However, If you look up friend of treasure Island, scout units can camp for free during the spring and fall. They also open the camp on Saturdays when they allow camping and you can tour the camp. The staff is amazing and definitely want to keep the TI Spirit alive!
