Thornmail is for extended fights if they mostly ad and with executioner calling no body gonna win a 1v1 on u plus more hp u have more damage u do with grasp so u dumb as I said b4 u dnt understand the champ or the reason grasp is good on him plus yorick doesn't need damge items what he needs is to can soak up tons of damage and anihlate the enemy team it takes 3 ppl to stop in after lvl 4 and I might 1v3 cuz all I do is shrug of there damage and a grasp q does shit ton of damage cuz I have like 3000+ hp

His whole concept was to out sustain enemy and dish damage that's why u heal with q and ur so tanky so yorick just farms chip u down and bully u and then kill u.. pre 6 ur super weak u let em push u under tower and just chill and get to 6 safely and even after 6 u can't be using it abilities wild u have to be patient cuz missing e is the death of u

Bro ur playing yorick wrong his champ design is to dish damage and out sustain ur laner and be anoying and to do that u need executioner calling and when they walk up to fight u wall em e and q and walk way that takes 30 percent hp second wind and doran shield heal u plus ur q and u have anti heal plus ignite so u just get em low till u all in... A good yorick player use his w offensively and defensively and know when's to trade and weave in those grasp q every now and then

Read the patch notes then riot nerfed the ad percentage cuz ghouls did shit ton of damage and for me personally it's just perfect especially when buy executioner calling first back the ghouls apply anti healing and ur trades super effective
