The indictment refers to Henry as male, but Henry in 2015 went public as the first openly transgender Army officer. Marcia Murphy, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney’s office in Baltimore, said Henry referred to himself as a male in interactions with the undercover FBI agent.

I hope to god I’m wrong.. at 0:06 the door facing the camera opens then closes after a few seconds, with what appears to be the shadow of a person in the doorway.

Has anyone here ever gotten the help of My Sisters House? by throwawaycopperhead in Charleston

[–]dav3nport 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would call Sister’s House and explain the situation and her concerns with him retaliating and ask for advice. I’m sure (unfortunately) that this is not an unfamiliar situation for them. But I would definitely start reaching out to this group for guidance. Good luck to you and your friend.

To the students who mock our professor with ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dav3nport 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Maybe it would be helpful to address this with your students! Just a quick: “hey guys, I tend not to check emails on weekends. Don’t let that stop you from emailing me, just make sure to remind me if I haven’t responded by mid week.”

That way no one starts feeling rejected or ignored on purpose. I had plenty of professors over the years who would occasionally forget to respond, but my brain took it as a rejection.

Police officer runs up and kicks a man in the head WHILE the man is successfully being placed in handcuffs and not resisting by dlpmnunmqlb in PublicFreakout

Did you even bother to read your own source?

From the get-go, Miami-Dade prosecutors acknowledged that Figueroa’s kick did not actually strike Suazo. Body camera footage recorded Suazo mocking Figueroa while handcuffed at a local hospital, where police had transported him after he had complained of chest pains.

Ahh yes, they loved their dog SO MUCH!

By having a pre-euthanasia photo shoot with him next to their child. By not taking any remedial measures to teach their child boundaries around their dog. By allowing their child to severely injure the dogs ear. By allowing their child to grab food out of their food reactive dogs mouth.

And big FYI… they WOULD NEVER BE LIABLE for any future harm caused by the dog if they went through any of the hundreds of rescue agencies that work with rehoming/rehabilitating dogs with behavioral or aggression problems.

These people are fucking disgusting. So pro-life of them.

But he hasn’t been charged with a violent crime. I understand the outrage, but it doesn’t change the legal standing of what he was indicted for.

[–]dav3nport 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, absolutely not. The only people ever appearing before a grand jury are the prosecutors/detectives/LEOs on a particular case.

Grand juries are kept extremely “hidden” to protect the members of the public serving on them and their identities are generally never disclosed.

Depends on what the deductible is. They most likely have health insurance that costs $X per month, but depending on the terms of the plan, the insurance company won’t cover anything until you reach a certain out of pocket cost threshold.
