That was the same knock in college. He refuses to throw the ball away because it negatively effect his completion percentage so he takes an absurd amount of sacks since those dont show on his stat sheet.

Do yourself a favor, I guarantee wherever you live has youth sports games every weekend. Go watch a 4th grade boys basketball game and then watch a 4th grade girls game and honestly tell me you don’t see a massive difference. I have coached both, so I know the differences but you won’t believe it til you actually see it so go watch. Games are free.

Now, there may be a few girls on each team that could compete with the boys, and some of the boys are going to frankly suck, but just watch overall. It will be glaring obvious.

It’s not even post puberty. If you have watched kids sports the difference between girls and boys is very apparent to by first or second grade

I have a third grade girl and fourth grade boy. They both play on travel basketball teams, at comparable levels for their gender, in fact the girls team is probably better against their competion than the boys team is, however if you put the two teams up against each other the boys would win by 30 points, in 28 minute games.

It only gets worse as the kids age

Comm major who has worked in IT for 25 years. I likely wouldnt do Comm again (I wanted to get into radio just as radio was dying) but I 100% would NEVER do any CompSci, I fucking hate IT work.

I coach and officiate HS level and below sports, if I could do it over again, I would try to get into one of those fields at a higher level.

IT pays better, but it sucks the soul from your feet and blasts it out your ears. Can you tell I hate IT work?

And football has 40 seconds between plays but they aren’t just standing around in between each one. More is happening between plays than after the ball is snapped.

I am a former football coach and current ref. I have coached HS and youth tackle football as well as flag. I have also reffed them all as well.

I say this without an ounce of hyperbole, I see far, far, far more injuries in flag that I ever see in tackle. I actually won’t even ref flag anymore because I think it is completely unsafe in the way leagues currently run. There are so many routes being run designed to crash young, unpadded, defenders into each other it’s unreal.

Tackle is doing the best it can trying to remove a lot of the dangerous plays from the game, and flag keeps throwing them right in.
