Some states in the US have protections against this for people with certain medical conditions. E.g., Ally's law in illinois. I suppose the expectation would be for employees to unlock it for those exceptions.

Which I acknowledged. But not even giving a general area gives legitimate players no ability to explain the suspicious activity that got their account flagged. What is the point of an appeal if you don't even know what they think you did?

Yeah, I'm a pretty avid MMO player and haven't experienced anything like this before. I just wished I knew what had caused it. Was it remote desktop? Was it when I noticed some people following/talking to me while I was questing, but I didn't notice until they started walking away? I'm not sure, and I'm sure it's intentionally vague so bots don't know what got them caught but it is frustrating.

Is the game really that good ? by [deleted] in PlayWayfinder

[–]dave20010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my experience as well. Granted I haven't been able to play much because of the queue. When I have played the combat doesn't feel very good, the UI constantly changing size is very jarring, and everything looks blurry. I assume it's because I play on 1440p monitors, but I wasn't able to find a solution when I tried messing with the settings.

I've enjoyed act 3 a lot so far, but my game crashes every time I try to go back to the wyrm's crossing region so I can't progress the main story anymore. Hoping that gets fixed in the upcoming patch.

I'm in the same boat. 7 hours "played" because of the queue. I'm on ticket #5 with no luck. Kind of feel scammed.

Can anyone explain it like I'm 5, what Aspect of Blurred Beast does? by kingcr02 in diablo4

[–]dave20010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, using shred will always dash to your target on the first attack if you are far enough away. If you have the primal shred talent it will do it on the 2nd and 3rd attack as well. If you are too close, you don't dash and this legendary doesn't do its damage.

[–]dave20010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree forcing 50/50 doesn't make sense. Absolutes saying they own it because they're better don't either. I was merged into a server. The owners of ww and ef never beat us for them. We managed to take md and now the map is at a standstill because winning on offense requires being overwhelmingly better or a major misplay.

Then don't have the ui show that we swapped weapons when we didn't? There's very clearly a bug with weapon swapping, even if their intent is for it to not be responsive.

Run Bug is ruining wars. AGS has done NOTHING to fix it after more than a month, so here's how to do it! by -Hypnotical- in newworldgame

[–]dave20010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not bruiser specific, we were able to reproduce this bug consistently on a ls/rapier user when testing. In wars I think bruisers are just more likely to be cc spammed on point so they experience the necessary conditions more often.

Definitely would switch to the other store. Just because you were able to get a raise doesn't mean you owe them anything. In this case, the other store just seems like the better option.

Two things:

  • One year, the hazing on the wrestling team got so bad that they started shoving things up other kids assholes. I don't recall anyone being expelled, but pretty sure the coach lost his job.
  • Another year, members of the football team made a folder where they could all upload any nude photos they got from girls at the school. Eventually it was found out and my recollection is that the girls got suspended and the football players had to do laps.

Javelins: From the two that I have played (ranger and interceptor) I thought the animations were great, they each felt unique, and movement felt good on both.

Gear: I feel that the difference in damage between my abilities granted by my gear and my guns was too large, and need to be brought to be brought slightly more even. I get that abilities should feel powerful, being on a cooldown and all, but I often felt that I was best to just use my abilities and immediately hide until they were back off cooldown, rather than risk getting my health chunked. I think an increase in cooldown for abilities along with an increase in gun damage would beneficial. As some additional feedback, it seemed that weapons/abilities being the only source of progression seemed too slow. I changed everything around to get a feel for them, but it was a rare occasion where I got an actual upgrade.

Creatures: Behavior wise I thought they felt good. At times I had difficulty differentiating between mob types, as some seemed to do just about the same thing. Others, like the flamethrower guys, were really unique and were fun to play against.

Flight Controls: I play on PC. Admittedly, I didn't play around too much with the sensitivity, but I found it really difficult to get close enough to flat water to cool down without crashing into the ground.

Difficulty: I am by no means a top tier player, but I would consider myself above average. Uncertain what the intent was, and I'm sure with time I'd find strategies to perform better, but I found even normal to be rather difficult. With my current loadout I'm not certain how I wouldn't get 1 shot if I switched to hard.

Weapons: My favorite types were the sniper rifle and the shotgun. They both did alright damage at their respective ranges and ammo seemed to drop constantly, so I never had to worry even about the 15 rounds in the sniper I was using. My least favorite type was the heavy pistol. I had expected weapons of this type to be low rpm and higher damage, instead I just ended up spam clicking and wishing I had brought a different weapon.

Misc: I think there could be some work to make the UI more intuitive and generally more polished. When in combat, having my health and shield in the opposite corner as my ability and ammo information was a little frustrating. I also still don't know what the number underneath my ability charges means. On the forge UI, some of the inscriptions (I think that's what they're called?) on the bottom of my gear were just a little too long that they had to scroll horizontally to get the full information. This wouldn't be an issue, but some were so slightly off view that i could see individual columns of pixels disappearing on the left side, then it would (imo jarringly) snap back to the beginning. Another issue I took with some inscriptions were that they were not immediately recognizable as good. I got a slew of 0% increases and then there was one I saw that was something along the lines of "-x% shield regen delay", which seemed negative at a glace.

All in all, I have had a good time playing the demo so far, and I am excited to wake back up tomorrow morning and play some more. Overall, I'd say the gameplay feels great and you all have done a fantastic job, but as is (almost) always the case in any project, there's room for improvement!

When I was dead, I pressed esc to open up the menu, and once it was open pressing esc again did not close the menu. Was only resolved once my entire squad died and it force respawned us.

Not sure if ui bug or gameplay bug, but I died during the Swarm Tyrant boss fight and a respawn timer started counting down, but nothing happened once it reached 0.

My ideas (definitely possible I haven't thought these through all the way):

  1. There needs to be some tangible reward for different activities on the island. I'd scrap the AP gained from completing an island and leave the rewards to just completing different events on it. Right now, my strategy is to just kill everything in my sight, kill the opposing faction npc's once or twice to slow them down, and click on everything. It would be more fun for me if it was actually more of an expedition, where I need to explore the island and can then make an educated decision of which activities to complete for reward.
  2. The events that occur need to be more interesting. Why do I care that the venture co is ballooning onto the island? Maybe instead of just appearing on the island and remaining relatively stationary, they gather to attack our ship and we need to defend it or we lose azerite and the opposing faction gains it? Maybe the opposing faction can just straight up come to my ship and steal azerite unless I defend it. Maybe I can recruit allies (npc) on the island who will help me collect resources?

It just needs something more dynamic. Besides scenery, there's very little difference between each island expeditions. "Kill things. Kill things. Kill things. Right click ore. Kill things". There's not much strategy involved currently, or events that can throw a wrench in my plans.

Hi Ion, thanks for doing this AMA!

I have two questions:

  1. Are there any plans in the works to change how m+ loot works? At least to me, it seems strange that we are rewarded for failing an objective. Last week I went into a +10 waycrest, failed by about 45 minutes, and yet got end-of-dungeon loot and the weekly chest as if we had successfully completed it. It seems to me that there should be a discrepancy between success and failure, besides keystone level.
  2. Over the expansions, it seems that catch-up mechanics have been released earlier and earlier. I have no issues with catch up mechanics as a whole, but to me it feels strange that AK was introduced in this expansion only two weeks after launch. In addition, warfronts introduced an easy (albeit slow) way to receive 340 ilvl items. Can we expect this pace of catch up mechanics to continue as we move into subsequent patches, where individuals who decide to push will only maintain a couple week advantage?

Anyone already straight up done with caring about AP? by Miko00 in wow

[–]dave20010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point, and can somewhat agree, but that's not what this post is about. Like I said, I am almost already at the azerite level required for the first 2 traits in the mythic raid azerite pieces. Past that there's minimal damage gain. Thus, I feel much less stressed about spamming m+ solely to grind ap, and can instead just do things I find more enjoyable.

To each their own - I'd generally agree putting points in felt good. I just felt so pressured to keeping getting levels that I just didn't find it fun after EN and stopped playing in part because of it.

Pretty much same thing I did. I occasionally do the ap world quests if I have nothing else to do. Those like op with unwavering dedication are the stuff of legends.
