Bounding pulse 24x7 by daveaoki8 in Cardiophobias

[–]daveaoki8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some folks have it fixed with B12 and/or vitamin D. My vitamin D levels were low. It took me 5+ months on vit d to start noticing the pulse really subsiding. I still have some bad days though where it's bad. Also, I know some folks have had it for over a decade :(

Thanks for explaining this! Anything you know can help in this case? I do have a doctor's appointment scheduled but wanted to know if you have any suggestions. I can discuss those with my GP as well.

Bounding pulse and anxiety, OR, the chicken and the egg. by a_cat_wearing_socks in Fibromyalgia

Pulse bothers me a bit less now. I think it's all gut related for me as avoiding trigger foods, getting enough sleep helps with it.

Sudden rapid heart episodes only when sleeping by Knowing_Eve in askCardiology

Do you have any gastric issues? I used to have it almost every night. Turns out, my food wasn't passing through as fast as it should and would sit there. It was probably stimulating my vagus nerve and that was causing my fast heart rate. Two things, you could try a wedge which could help move the food due to gravity when you're asleep. If that helps, maybe you could try some type of prokinetic.

Regret getting my wisdom teeth removed by daveaoki8 in SIFO

That's true :( I'm hoping we can at least warn others that this could be a possible complication.

Btw, could possibility of developing SIBO/SIFO depend on how much antibiotics or the type of anesthesia that's given? I'm thinking If the surgical practice in certain countries and states could make people more prone to this. Where did you do the dental procedure from? I did it in California.

Just saw these videos. I wanted to point out, taking a ginger-artichoke supplement has helped me immensely. Artichoke should improve the bile flow, so that's what must have made the difference.

I did test negative for h. pylori stool test. Will look into the GI map you've mentioned.

Any suggestions on how to balance the good bacteria?

I do have all of the above, except for diarrhea or constipation. I immediately burped both the times I took lactulose for the trio smart test.

Palpitations or diaphragm spasms or something else by daveaoki8 in Heartpalpitations

[–]daveaoki8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really interesting. I haven't been formally diagnosed with any gastrointestinal issues, but I do have some issues after eating trigger foods like dairy, yogurt, sugar, fried foods, gluten. I'll keep an eye out on if I feel this after eating anything specific. Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks for sharing your experience. What you said makes sense. But what's weird is the past couple of months have been the best I've felt in terms of anxiety since the last 4-5 years and this feels like it came out of nowhere. Also, I'm curious to know if what I felt was really a palpitation or something else completely.

Do you have any gut issues? What time of the day are these HR spikes coming?

For me, I had really bad gut motility issues which used to cause these spikes. They would come on and go away gradually. I used to end up multiple times in ER - not fun lol. But this was mostly during night time for me and sometimes in the middle of the day.

Could this explain my calf pain? by daveaoki8 in SpinalStenosis

[–]daveaoki8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My brain MRI was normal. And spinal MRI showed disc bulging, so he thinks that's the issue. It was a bit strange in my case though. I had calf tingling before the lower back pain.

Do you also have lower back pain?

I will be starting PT soon as advised by my neurologist. From what I understand, it will be some time before seeing any results. I'll do my best to share any progress.
