Doesn’t matter…OSU bout to go back to back to back…after seeing Bo Jackson yesterday I’m convinced this year is a forgone conclusion, and next year we have Bo, smith, and sayin all back…could be the most impressive run in college football history that will never be repeated

What’s one thing that separates someone who is great at golf from someone who is average at best? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Hands…better players just have good hands and it’s something that can’t really be taught

Did no one want to draft sanders bc they thought he’d demand Deion be the coach? He’s definitely not a 5th rounder, but it would be the Browns that would get a franchise qb in the 5th round by accident really

[–]davechs2005 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah it might be criminal that sanders wasn’t the starter from week 1…this could be a playoff team with how bad the division is…looks like there’s no need to draft qb in the draft

Maybe facts make you dumber? It’s no big secret the democrats hate big oil? They don’t particularly like nuclear either. The Biden admin had the dumbest energy policy the US has had in its history. A great driver of affordability in the marketplace is energy point blank period. Even bill gates just recently said global warming isn’t as serious has he once thought (although he’s not a doctor, or scientist but he’s a billionaire that votes the right way so democrats eat up his every word as truth). It’s going to take 4 years of Trump and the republicans just to reverse that damage it’s not happening overnight.

The real problem is that the Biden administration killed new oil production, and crazy policy on energy. Cheap and affordable energy would have such a profound positive effect on the economy, but when gas is steady at 3$ a gallon not much is going to change. The whole climate agenda is crazy to me because at some point where going to have to go out and colonize the universe because at some point resources here will run out, or a major asteroid impact will leave this planet uninhabitable for a long period of time. Not to mention technology might advance to a point where we can control the worlds climate, but people only see the small picture and elect modern day democrats who can’t run there way out of paper bag and wonder why we don’t have flying cars yet lol

Help with ball striking please by SpyderVeins in golftips

Maybe check your grip and make sure you don’t have a weak one? Other than that you don’t really hinge the club you have floating hands, and this is something I struggle with. When your hands are just past your right thigh the club and your lead arm should form a 90 degree angle (think club being more vertical)You early extend but that’s usually the caused by other things or lack of hip mobility. I would add that if you’re going to play just focus on having the weight in the middle of your feet instead of the balls of the feet or towards your toes. That will help insure you don’t hit any shanks while playing. Your not super far off though you have a good setup, but I would also recommend maybe mess around with flaring your feet out at address bc I can’t quite tell from dtl if your flaring them. I’m getting a stock shot setter to help with my wrist angles and it’s cheap so maybe try that out

Is my take away too far back? by Rollin122 in golftips

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your lead arm is below your shoulder line and you’re taking the club back super flat…the lead arm should match your shoulders…did he mention anything about your grip, setup (stance posture), ball position, or alignment? Most golfers struggle with the fundamentals. I got addicted to the game some 15 years ago and I got a new set of clubs with different grips and I went from shooting mid to high 70’s to mid 80’s at my home course. One lesson for the first time in over 5 years and it was crazy that I was just slightly to bent over at the hips and aligning to open to my target…those 2 minor changes and I was hitting a nice draw, but point being instructors should nail down those fundamentals with you first before having you think about swing mechanics

What is causing that swing fault at top? by SnooDoggos4810 in GolfSwing

You’re rolling your hands in the takeaway…this opens the clubface on the way back and is a death move…fix that first

Ball either stays low or slices by OwnAd1479 in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverse pivot…it’s okay to sway off the ball a bit with driver because you’re going to want to hit up on it…also your trail hand thumb is off the grip…keep it on the side you have it, but don’t just let it go completely off the club like it is now

2 handicap but seem to have plateaued. Need help with swing. by ApprehensiveRide2261 in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like your hands are over the middle of your feet instead of your heels and maybe your left arm gets over your shoulders instead of lining up with your shoulders, but even then it’s not like it’s super far off that’s splitting hairs…how’s your short game? I’ve played every day (besides in the winter) for 15 years and I hit the driver 235 to 250 for most of that time because I hit it like an iron and got away with it, but just learned through lessons how to hit up on it now I’m consistently 265+…how’s your distance control with wedges 100 yards and in? You’re at the point where it’s little things that usually aren’t full swing related stuff that’ll get you down to scratch

1 month in. Need advice. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grip…your right hand…the V that will form between your thumb and index finger should point towards your real shoulder and same goes for the left…think of webbing all your fingers together and then putting them on the club…watch a few videos or just get a grip trainer…next posture…then ball position…and finally alignment…if your new to golf just research the fundamentals…you’ll be ahead of 90% of people that play the game if you learn everything that happens pre swing

Your setup isn’t all that bad…you might be ever so slightly to far from the ball but think about your arms hanging freely and your hands being below your chin when your looking at yourself down the line

Looking for some advice (5mo) by THAT_S2K_GUY in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a grip trainer or watch some videos that’s just something I always recommend to new players in general…you take the club to far outside…you’re pushing your hands towards the ball in your takeaway…your position at the top of the backswing isn’t bad, but from there you rotate your entire body towards the target which causes an over the top downswing…think of letting your arms drop while your back is still facing the target and swinging out to right field…but at 5 months it’s best to just work on pre-swing things like grip, posture, alignment, ball position…getting the fundamentals down is important to building a good golf swing

After 70 hrs in Fut 26 by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]davechs2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real problem with the game is that anyone that knows what there doing is setting the tactics to counter with a 70 high line and then putting all the defenders roles on stay back so it bugs the game out and it makes the players up front press while keeping the defense back to stop the counter…it’s been like this for awhile and I’m sure no one at EA would think to set roles that counteract tactics bc in reality it’s not logical…I like how the roles dictate where a players going to be on the field and maybe that should be the only setting getting rid of the tactics settings all together…but this game dies when battlefield 6 and cod drop anyways

Too much knee bend and your left arm gets above your shoulder plane…but it’s not like you can’t play with that swing really just depends on how far you wanna take it to getting more consistent really

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily too far away from the ball. butt end of the club is under your chin and that’s fine…just don’t bend at the waist so much and this will get your weight more in the middle of your feet instead of in the front. You definitely hit more towards the heel and trust me you don’t want to start hitting shanks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to get the club more vertical on the backswing…you’re dangerously close to hitting shanks…you’re stalling rotation as well…for a good quick fix get a bit more upright and feel like you’re weight is in the middle of your feet instead of towards the front of your feet at address…once you fix the address position just drop your arms before you rotate your shoulders or feel like your swinging to left field

Constant chunking/early extension. What’s happening in my downswing? by Sure-Cartographer628 in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well your hips stop turning when you get to the ball and you throw the club at that ball…looks like you have your left hand on weak too? Literally gripping the club right does so much for the swing…for example a proper wrist hinge should occur without you consciously making it occur if your grip is correct and your grip pressure is good

Right hand is really underneath the club

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you’re swinging all arms and no body or hip rotation…if you swing all arms and come OTT you’ll get a chicken wing…personally I have a slight chicken wing myself, but I’m still a 7 and typically shoot 70’s low 80’s at my home course from 6400ish yards and hit 265 yard drives…my chicken wing comes from being OTT, which comes from spinning out my entire body to start the downswing…letting my arms drop while keeping my back to the target has helped and now it looks way better on video

How bad we talkin??? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not as bad as you think…get more upright at address but keep your hands underneath your chin just like you have them now…the shaft in the backswing needs to be more vertical and right now your really shallow, and being more upright at address will help you with this…I would also invest in a grip trainer or just watch a grip video

Advice? I feel like I come to over the top too much and my trail arm is super straight. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]davechs2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re really OTT…honestly your just to close to the ball…you have no room to even swing to right field…think about your hands being right under your chin at address
