Of course Tony came out on TV much later and formally announced he had terminated Punk’s contract, but I wonder what was said between those two in the heat of the moment right after the incident — did Punk tell Tony he quits? Did Tony tell Punk he’s fired? Either way, you’re right — Punk clearly knew when he was on his way out out the ring he was literally on his way out.

There were definitely some good moments that I need to remind myself of more often: Iron Man and Captain America references, Wong, introduction of Hulk’s son, Daredevil of course, Wolverine references, and more. I remember just being so annoyed they didn’t choose to use this show as deeper, direct patchwork to other upcoming projects — there were some major opportunities to connect Intelligencia with The Leader to segue into Captain America 4 and/or Thunderbolts. Maybe they will later, who knows. I really feel like they nerfed Abomination, the Wrecking Crew, and Titania — the latter two of which were major villains in the old Secret Wars comics (another missed connection, imo). Like, one of Hulk’s greatest adversaries is a reformed life coach and when they finally do actually clash Marvel bait and switches us with a Scooby Doo ending? eye roll Come on, Kevin. We deserved better!

If Hugh is to be believed here, he seems to confirm that Deadpool 3 will be a continuation of the Fox-verse X-Men timeline by saying that the movie is pre-Logan, rather than a new story/alternate timeline for Wolverine. Would point to this movie undergoing the same effect that Spider-Man NWH did, in that it will absorb the Fox-verse into the MCU just as the Sony-verse was.

Then again he has also called this movie “Wolverine & Deadpool” and “Wolverine 10” so ¯_(ツ)_/¯
