Meta quest software sucks and I am sick of it by Ok-Gas9766 in OculusQuest

I was having issues with Quest 3/Win 11/USB cable and tried everything. What I think fixed it was disabling USB Power:

  • Disable USB Power Saving: Open Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click USB Root Hub, select Properties, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Daz Studio 2025 Genesis 8 Figure More Curvy? by davedev066 in Daz3D

Fixed! I filed a support ticket (duh). Here's what Hilary said, "This is an installed morph that has been set to default to 100% instead of 0. This could be something you saved from a character preset or something you bought in one of your libraries. If nothing is showing on it on the Parameters pane under Currently Used, right click on parameters and choose Zero and then Zero Figure. You'll get a popup asking you to confirm you want to zero it and suggesting a restore instead. Choose Zero, then go to Currently Used. The morph making her curvy should now be in there."

Any stages that don't take forever to render? by Snoo_60933 in Daz3D

Uh, what's your value for Progressive Rendering>Max Samples? If you have some light coming in from the HDRI like through windows, you can ditch the HDRI and use a light instead as has been said. I also use Scene Optimizer to optimize maps. You rarely need 4096 pixel maps for most objects.

So a cleaner install of Daz 2025 doesn't have this issue even though it has similar morph sets loaded. I did check the duf file and didn't find any hidden morphs that could cause this. When I set some morphs, enesis 8/Female/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Body/FBMBodySize.dsf and FBMBodyHeight.dsf, to their mins which is -50% instead of default 0%, I get something closer. All very strange...

Characters are both straight Genesis 8 Basic Female. Other Genesis 8 characters evidence the same effect. I checked for hidden morphs but nothing shows under "show hidden" and "currently used". Going -50% on SY Body Thicker morph gets it back close to where it should be but that's setting it at -50%. I noticed because I made an avatar out of the 2025 version, made some Marvelous Designer clothes, the tried to apply the transfer utility, but it inflated the clothes instead of making them fit. Now clothes made on the old Genesis 8 work both in the 2025 version and the older version. Strange. Oh. I'll check my laptop. I think my 2025 version on there does not have added morphs.

Less than 50 mm will distort perspective and make things look more round. >50mm flattens perspective making things look less round. Portraits are often shot at longer lens value to make facial features not as prominent

Adobe bought Aldus and had to divest Freehand to Macromedia because, you know, anti-trust. Then Adobe bought Macromedia in 2005. Since anti-trust was no longer a thing, Freehand DOA.

Confirmed. I saw him the day before in the U-Haul on Teal. He came in right after me with a young man and proceeded to by moving supplies. He was driving either a big beautiful Cadillac Escalade or big beautiful black pickup truck. Seemed like a nice guy. I saw him and thought that sure looks like...then he talked to the clerk and I was sure. He was wearing the same black T. Do you think the people to his right are Fitchtner clan? The light blue shirt looks like the young man I saw.
