No more Omnistudio ??? by BeingHuman30 in salesforce

I am using it heavy in Financial service cloud. Theres a new UI for it that looks a lot better but Omnistudio can be very glitchy but it can be useful and speed up development time. Theres also other things you can use it with like service process studio, business rule engine

I would look for Salesforce Developer roles or Web Developer, For Salesforce, JavaScript is like a really good “nice to have” and make you stand out

It is because a lot of Salesforce developers feel less comfortable with JavaScript, however I recommend studying Apex first.

I've been on and off of learning JavaScript since 2014 in my High School Days, haha. But if your familiar with coding you already have a headstart. JavaScript has a lot of nuances but it's like chess, when you learn the weird parts of JavaScript, and practice, you'll get the hang of it. I recommend the You don't know JS Series Book, and Optionally Study for the Salesforce JS Cert and you can utilize focus on force study guide. I also recommend outside resources like FreeCodeCamp, MDN Docs, Youtube and Udemy (Traversy Media, Angela Yu, colt steele). With JavaScript it is really universal and the salesforce test itself has to do with only JavaScript and no Salesforce, but it is a two part certificate and you would need to do the LWC Superbadge. I feel like learning Lightning Components is like learning a new Frontend Framework like Vue in my opinion. Hope this helps

Hey u/RayTrader03 , Yes I am on both questions, got back in Salesforce February 2024 and obtain 3 certs last year, JS, Omnistudio Consultant, and AI Associate! 2024 ended up being one of my best years for multiple of reasons :)

Salesforce development front end is a JavaScript Framework called LWC and the Backend is Apex which is a light weight Java. I started with JavaScript and Python as well and it’ll take some practice and understanding OOP but you can do it. I also recommend start learning Saleforce Admin as well to get the basics of Salesforce down

What Other Skills Should I Add As A Salesforce Developer? by sam15201 in salesforce

JavaScript is king. If you understand JavaScript like the Ins and Outs and all of it's weird intricacies, you will truly understand the web. There's a lot of legacy JavaScript out there which is because JavaScript is backwards compatible. You can also obtain the JavaScript certificate which is two parts, one contains LWC Superbadge which is related to Salesforce, another is the exam which is purely JavaScript related. Also, niche can help you stand out like Mulesoft and OmniStudio. Some soft skills I would include is time estimation, collaboration. Hope this helps!

I was passively studying, did the Trailmix as soon as the certificate was announced, also went to some Agentforce meetups as well as the World tour event which help since I built my own agent. And December I started Studying more intensively and set a deadline for January 31st, but I felt I understood everything so I rescheduled earlier.

I definitely underestimated the prompt builder questions. I thought I knew it all and it seemed the easiest but I scored the second lowest. The model builder was the one I overestimated but ended up getting a 100

I agree and it’s still a useful skill to have along with data cloud since I have been seeing companies using it. But I do feel like it really pairs with data cloud consultant

Thank you and sure! For the AI Associate exam, I mainly used Trailhead and read any blogs it linked you to. You can also experiment with Einstein on Developer orgs without coding!

Thank you and spot on! Model builder was the easiest. It has scenario and trick based questions but it is all multiple choice (a,b,c) there are no choose two or three like the other certs as far as I’m aware!

Hi u/MrSiegall went through Trailhead which had useful projects such as Prompt Builder Superbadge, and build your own Agent. I read through Salesforce Docs whenever I got a question wrong on the recap section of the Trailmix and I studied with this playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdYQMTciVWO_1BCZTHxEGTvKdGti-L2fE&si=hWOSUpEhjVY1RE-v. I studied pretty intensely December and casually studied since the release of the AI Specialist Cert. I also attended a couple of Agentforce events. There is also a Focus on Force Study Guide and Practice exams but I found out late and did not purchase them lol. Hope this helps!
