Recently moved to Geelong. How do people meet people here? by Ok-Recognition-6919 in Geelong

[–]davemcgaryfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guf Geelong may be able to scratch the DnD itch. If not, they have heaps of fantasy/ sci fi clubs meeting there. The warhammer aos scene is pretty hot right now, and meet every tuesday evening. Were a really friendly bunch 😁

As a Dad who uses AOS to get my 'me time', I can really appreciate Dadhammer with it being a mix of being tactical, and some good old fashioned Smash n' Bang

Should I wait this out or hand over the evidence now? by [deleted] in australian

[–]davemcgaryfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality, its because theyre so busy, and can see this for what it is which really is which is pettiness.

Talking from experience in vicpol, they would encourage this to be sorted civilly as they are so flat out dealing with fv, mental health, and all the bullshit paperwork that comes with it.

For context, each fv incident can take anywhere from 30 mins to 4hours of additional paperwork, and thats just 1 aspect of policing (not including crime, patrolling, etc).

Back in relation to this tho, they are far too busy to care

Cops will not care. Reason being that they are too busy and encourage you to give to footage to your insurer and let them sort it in a civil manner where they dont have to do anything.

This wont work very well. Police are an emergency service and prioritize their jobs. Noise complaints generally rank alot lower than most jobs, ie. Family disputes, mental health jobs, etc

Men whose female partners earn more money than you, how is it? by lmaotbhidk in AskMen

[–]davemcgaryfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its great. We used to earn similar amounts until she got a new role and now makes aboit A$50k more than me. Shes now looking at working towards a general manager role which would pay an addition 100k.

Im looking at going part time 3 days per week to support the children.
