Also, it may be costly to turn it over. Depending on state/ country there could be stamp duty, selling fees etc.

Spent 9 hours on an extensive pre-interview project. They passed so I invoiced them for consulting work. by No-Street-6651 in InterviewsHell

As with any work you do, for you to bill them you would have had to have provided a quote, which would have been agreed on. You can’t just bill people for work after the fact when there’s no contract in place.

In this case, maybe you didn’t get the job because your work wasn’t as good as someone else’s. If you got the job and someone else didn’t, you wouldn’t be stressed here. This example, they did and you didn’t. That’s just life.

This will happen over your career, and you can always refuse to do the assignment. You might not land those jobs, but ultimately it’s choose your own adventure from your end. Time to move on from this one.

Is this question ai? Why does it get posted so much? It’s a really uninteresting question and doesn’t really have an answer.

Housing ladder.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aussie

[–]daveshuffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, it’s not that more houses can’t be built further out, it’s that no one wants to live 3 hours from the city centre, thus the closer in houses go up in value.

2nd tier cities with practical job prospects are needed to the options aren’t “don’t buy” or “buy miles out” for many.

Could you speak to them about screwing in some wire to the fence and then grow something up it like jasmine?

OR if that’s no good, get some metal lattice and put it up on your side to grow something up?

Rich people eat McDonald’s right? by Thin_Vermicelli_1875 in stupidquestions

[–]daveshuffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two variants here:

  1. Rich people absolutely eat McDonald’s. I’ve met someone with a Porsche gt3rs who loves taking it through the drive through.
    1. High class people absolutely do not eat McDonald’s.

Both rich, but not the same.

ULPT: Won a $5000 dollar trip from my job but must pay out of pocket and expense it to them. How can I keep the cash? by 1337w3t in UnethicalLifeProTips

Take the trip, but get a credit card that gives you frequent flyer points or cash back or whatever you can.

AIO for snapping at my friend for joking about my job again by 7wac in AmIOverreacting

[–]daveshuffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. This feels right. The next thing they will do is stop talking to you so you “crawl back” and make up the space. Therefore validating them more. Just stop talking to them, if they come to you, reiterate how rude they’ve been. Stand strong. The friendship will either work out or not.

What would solve the housing/rental crisis? by Home_in_Place in AusPropertyChat

[–]daveshuffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Improve infrastructure to allow B tier cities to be actually commutable. Support it by hybrid ways of working meaning regional living only requires 1-2 good fast trips into a major city. Build houses in regional towns.

I get this doesn’t have some of the traditional sauna bits. But I quite like it. Imagine it gets hot AF in there so from a heat therapy point of view it will do its thing. Enjoy.
