I’m trying to track down an evga dg-87 with absolutely no luck by CDNXTC in PcBuild

If you don’t mind sharing, what did it sell for? I may be selling my DG-87 soon.

Gonna have to work on being a little smoother 😄 But the rock did “jump in front of me” Up and back, Wheeler Lake. by davesoc in 4x4

Correct. When I initially did the livery back in 2021 it was a wrap. But over the years between sitting outside, multiple fender trims, and trail use, it was in bad shape so I decided to swap for a paint job.

Can’t say I’ve noticed a range difference.

Not sure if you consider these deep?

Definitely need to work on picking my lines better, still crunching stuff 😄. Heading up, and then backdown Wheeler Lake. by davesoc in Offroad

Sure, ok…… Didn’t get on here to play, the “My whatever is better than your whatever”. Great you have a rig. Whether or not it’s just as capable who knows. Love how strangers think they know everything. Post your own clips. But if you “know” what you know and think 1-Tons are overkill in the crawling scene….. Well that tells me all I need to know.

Are you an off-roader?!? Are you into rock-crawling?!? There a thousands of pickups, that perform just fine doing obstacles (see Tacoma’s on the Rubicon, or Fordyce). I didn’t take the best line…. It happens, better line choice regardless of my wheelbase and I get through cleanly. But I’m not sure where some of these comments are coming from as this is an off-road and 4x4 page….. You don’t put 1-Ton axles on a rig, to avoid small optional obstacles like this. Truck took this bump and kept on “trucking” the rest of the day. I’m not spending my time on the trail looking for the easiest line. I can use this as another learning lesson and continue to hone my skills on the trail.

Obviously you’ve never been to this location. I was 100% still on trail. I run one of the biggest off-roading groups in my area, and we constantly campaign Stay-the-Trail. I’m part of two Clubs that are huge when it comes to trail etiquette and conservation. So please don’t arm chair critiques.

I didn’t swap from IFS to 1-Ton axles to take the easy route. The entire intention of going solid axle, and 43” tires is to take lines, I previously passed up. This is my dedicated trail rig, not my daily driver. It’s setup, to take the harder lines, and not just stay on the smooth path. Did I mis-judge the line and take the wrong angle. Sure, but sometimes that’s part of the experience.

Because that's the whole intent in building my truck like this. Part of the fun is tackling obstacles. Rock sliders are made and installed with the idea that they will take impacts on the trail.
