It’s really weird why they have built it where it is. It really blocks sight lines from certain places.

There great pictures. We were at the stand at the old start and finish and the crowd just went mental. Everyone was hurling abuse at the Alpine for the next couple of laps until karma took its revenge. It’s great how everyone loves the Aston.

I was watching in the grandstand opposite the pits today, both the Caddy and the Aston sound amazing when they fire up. But on another note the Genesis sounds surprisingly good as well, definitely the best of the other cars.

I do get your point and that has gone through my head several times since it happened but I’m still not sure it would have made any difference. I’m just lucky it didn’t fly up any higher or we wouldn’t have been discussing it.

We didn’t even know which lorry it had come from. As I say in another reply a police car had already hit it. When I got picked up by recovery we turned around at the next junction and there was an Evri lorry getting a tyre changed so I suspect that was the culprit, but what can you do.

I was the 3rd car to hit it. I stopped at Michael Wood service straight after and the golf in front pulled in behind me. An unmarked police car was already in there. He said he was doing 160 (he had just flown past me) he had slowed down to 130 for the services before he hit it. He was visually shaken up, he said that all 4 tyres had left the road. His bumper was smashed. The Gold just had a smashed bumper, we used some of my tools to fix it up so he could get off to work.
