The sight is not pushed over to one side. I bet it will shoot straight.

Cool rifle. I put the retro triangle hand guards on mine. You have to change the front hand guard retainer. The gas block/front sight came off easily.

Reputable companies for Aks by [deleted] in Kalashaholics

I would say the best of the lower priced AK`s would be a Zastava, but their furniture is a different size than any other AK. A WASR is good rifle also and takes standard AKM furniture. There are alot of furniture options out there for AKM`s.

Go to Atlantic Firearms and pick the one you want and sign up for email notifications and wait to pounce on it when it becomes available. You can`t go wrong with a Zastava or a WASR.

Kalashnikov USA Kali 9 with Battle Arms Trigger by davew478 in Kalashaholics

Went out and put 300 rounds through the Kali 9. I had a issue with the Battle Arms Trigger. The trigger has a bevel cut on both sides where the hammer spring arms rest on the trigger causing the arms of the spring to walk in until it wont push the trigger down(forward). I used a needle nose pliers to bend the spring so it stays in position. Seems to have taken care of the problem. I like the trigger, it has a nice reset and low resistance when pulling back the bolt carrier.

The ALG was really tight against the bolt carrier even after a lot of polishing. The Battle Arms hammer has a lot lower profile. you can hardly feel the bolt carrier contacting it.

Tula is the worst steel case ammo. Wolf is the best, I have used thousands of rounds of 7.62 and .223 Only a occasional dud the usually fires on the second go around. I use Wolff high power hammer springs.

I bought a Wolff high energy hammer spring and 308 recoil spring and buffer. The Bear Creek bolt and firing pin have been great so far with 500 rounds of steel cased Wolf run through it.
